Account Summary

The Account Summary screen gives you a quick

overview of your account(s), detailing:

Cash balance – the cash available for opening

new cash-instrument positions (stocks, ETFs,

ETCs)

Account value

margin available for opening new margin

positions (Forex, CFDs and Futures)

margin utilization of open margin positions

Press Account value or Margin available to get details

of the account value and the margin available.

Main Menu

The Main Menu is always available from icon in the

top right-hand corner of the application and gives you

quick access to all the main areas of the application.

Finding Instruments

Select Instrument allows you to search or browse

for all instruments. Once selected, you can open

instruments in the trade ticket or add it to an

instrument list in Prices and Trade.

You can either quick search for instruments using

the search field, or browse for instruments through

the instrument tree.

Selecting an Instrument from search results will

display the context menu with the options for that

particular instrument type.

Watchlist

The Watchlist section provides you with direct

access to your instruments. Press Edit in order to

add / delete instruments from your list. Selecting

the filter icon will enable you to filter based on

instrument types.

Selecting an instrument will bring up a context

menu displaying the options available for that

particular instrument.

The Trade Ticket

Once you have selected an instrument, the trade

ticket offers you the trade types available for theselected instrument such as:

Order - trade the instrument using a

Market, Limit or Stop order

Trade – trade the instrument at the current

market price (spot) or as a Forward

FX Option – trade the FX cross as an FX

Option

Related stop and limit orders can be also be placed

along with trades and orders.

For spot trades, dragging the slider to the far right

and releasing, will enable the Bid / Ask buttons for

a limited duration, allowing you to place spot

trades.

Place Order

The unified ticket will allow you to switch betweenorder, trade and FX option tickets where available.

Selecting Amount or price field will bring up a

keypad for quick amount / price entry.

Confirm Trade

When you have placed an order from the Order ticket,

the pre-trade confirmation displays a summary of the

orders before they are placed. Cancel will bring you

back to Order ticket, press Place order(s) to confirm

and place orders.

Trade Confirmation

When an order has been successfullly placed, a

trade conformation will confirm this with details of

the order. Press Close to confirm this receipt.

All trade confirmations for the current session are

available from the main menu under Trade

Confirmations.

Open Positions

Select Open Positions from the Main Menu for an

overview of your current positions in the market.

Net positions, containing a number of individual

positions for the instrument, are shown with a Net

Position Icon - for example icon for Net FX

positions. Selecting a net position will expand to

display the individual positions beneath.

The last column can switch between P / L in base

currency of the account or the open / close price of a

position. Invoke switching between columns by

pressing below amount denotion on the final column.

Selecting a position will display a context menu with

options for the specific instrument, such as Close

Position, Edit Related Orders, View Details or Add

Related Orders.

Positions with related orders, are denoted with two

arrows on the instrument icon: FX

Open Orders

Select Open Orders from the Main Menu for an

overview of your open orders as well as providing

you the ability to edit or cancel orders. Orders

related to a position are denoted by an addition on

the Instrument icon, e.g. for fx:

OCO Orders related to an open position are

displayed with a icon.

Open main orders with related orders are displayed

with a icon.

Selecting an order will display a context menu with

options for the specific order, such as View Details,Edit Order and Cancel Order.

Notifications

Select Notifications from the Main Menu to show

any Trade Confirmation received in the current

session since you logged in. In addition, any session

price alert that has been triggered can be viewed

and acted upon here.

Charts

From the Prices & Trade list, select Chart from the

context menu in order to open a chart for the

instrument.

The current chart allows you to set

Chart periods ranging from one Minute to one

month. Pinch to zoom allows you to zoom in

and out with period either locked or unlocked.

Select Chart type Line, OHLC, HLC or

Candlestick or compare two instruments by

pressing

The chart will adapt and take up the entire screen when holding your iPhone horizontally.

Price Alerts

Selecting Price Alerts from the Main Menu will enable

you to set price alerts on instruments and have them

appear as either dropdown or sent by email when

triggered, or both.

When a price alert is triggered, a notification will

drop down allowing you to either see the alert

or closing the notification. Price alerts triggered

are stored under Notifications.

News

Selecting News from the main menu will display, in

chronological order, all the news associated with your

account.

Selecting an individual news item, will display the

details of that item with the option to switch back

and forth between individual new stories by using

the arrows.

Settings

Select Settings from the Main Menu to change the

settings for:

Language

Region

Time zone

News Providers

Price Alert Notifications

KeyPad Settings (iOS only)

News settings enables you to set up your stream

of news by either selecting all news providers

available, or specifying your preferred sources.

Settings are automatically saved upon leaving

news settings page.

Log Out

Selecting Log Out from the Main Menu will end the

current sessions and go to the login page.

Useful definitions

L/S: This indicates whether a position is long or short.

Amount: This shows the nominal value of your position.

P/L: The Profit or Loss for a position using current mid-market prices.

Price:

Open/Close

This shows you at which price your order is set to be executed.

Open Price / Closing Price

Minimum Device Requirements

iOS Device running iOS 5.0 or above. It is recommended recommend to upgrade to

iOS 6 in order to take full advantage of SaxoTrader.

o To upgrade, connect your iOS device to iTunes and click “check for new

software”.

o Follow the update instructions.

Android device version 2.3 and above.
