Fiji Weddings are recognized internationally! If you choose Paradise as your Fiji Wedding destination, your own personal Wedding Coordinator will send you a Paradise Wedding Checklist to fill out as well as the Special License Application Form. A Fiji Marriage is recognized internationally and you must ensure you have original copies of the following documentation: Bride & Grooms Passport Bride and Grooms Birth Certificate Bride & Grooms Single Status Certificate Brides and Grooms Divorce Papers – if applicable Change of name documents – if applicable Death Certificate of previous spouse/s – if applicable We arrange all of your Wedding Registration paperwork prior to your arrival as long as we receive to above documents in a timely manner.

How does the Marriage Registration process work in Fiji?

Your Wedding Coordinator will send you a Special Licence Application Form to be filled out by yourselves and signed by Justice of the Peace in your Country. You will scan and e-mail all official documents back to us. We e-mail your scanned documents and Special Application Form to the Wedding Registry Office in Suva. The Wedding Registry send us back the Special Licence allowing a Celebrant or Minister on Taveuni to conduct your Wedding. Once you are married, we send the Special Licence back to the Registration Office in Suva and then we have to send it to the Foreign Affairs Office in Suva to receive the Apostile Stamp which ensures your marriage is recognized internationally. This can take some months after your Wedding Day and we will then courier the Marriage Certificate to you once we receive it. Should you require a faster process, we recommend registering your Marriage in your home country or first travelling to Suva and registering your Marriage and receive the Apostile stamp yourselves, then stay with us in Paradise to celebrate your marriage with a Wedding Ceremony.
