Sayyid and Lodi Dynasty

The Sayyid Dynasty (1414-1451 A.D.)• Khizr Khan (1414- 1421 A.D.)• He was the founder of Sayyid Dynasty• He was the Governor of Multan.• He took advantage of the disordered

situation in India after Timur’sinvasion.

• In 1414 A.D. he occupied the throne of Delhi.

• He brought parts of Surat, Dilapur, and Punjab under his control.

• But he lost Bengal, Deccan, Gujarat, Jaunpur, Khandesh and Malwa.

• In 1421 he died.• Mubarak Shah Khizr Khan’s son

succeeded him.

सैय्यद वंश (1414-1451 A.D.)

• खिज्र िान (1414- 1421 ए.डी.)

• वह सैय्यद वंश के संस्थापक थे

• वह मुल्तान के गवननर थे।

• उसने तैमूर के आक्रमण के बाद भारत में

अव्यवखस्थत खस्थतत का लाभ उठाया।

• 1414 ई में उसने तदल्ली के तसंहासन पर कब्जा

कर तलया।

• उसने सूरत, तदलपुर और पंजाब के कुछ तहस्सं

कस अपने तनयंत्रण में ले तलया।

• लेतकन उसने बंगाल, डेक्कन, गुजरात, जौनपुर,

िानदेश और मालवा कस िस तदया।

• 1421 में उसकी मृतु्य हस गई।

• खिज्र िान के बाद उसका बेटा मुबारक शाह गद्दी

पर बैठा।

Mubarak Shah (1421-1434A.D.)

• Mubarak Shah crushed the local chiefs of the Doab region and the Khokhars.

• He is first Sultan ruler to appoint Hindu nobles in the court of Delhi.

• He constructed “Mubarakbad” City on the banks of the river Jamuna.

• Muhammad Shah Mubarak’s nephew succeeded him.

• मुबारक के भतीजे मुहम्मद शाहराजगद्दी संभाली।

Muhammad Shah (1434-1445 A.D.)

• He defeated the ruler of Malwawith the help of Bahlul Lodi the Governor of Lahore.

• He conferred Bahlul Lodi with the title Khan-i-Khanan for helping in defeating the ruler of Malwa.

Ala-ud-din Shah (1 445-1457 A.D.)

• He was a weak ruler.

• In 1457 A.D. Bahlul Lodi the Governor of Lahore captured Delhi and made Ala-ud-din Shah to step down from the throne and sent him to Badaun.

मुहम्मद शाह (1434-1445 A.D.)

• उसने लाहौर के राज्यपाल बहलसललसदी की मदद से मालवा के शासककस हराया।

• उसने मालवा के शासक कस हराने मेंमदद के बदले बहलसल लसदी िान-ए-िानां की उपाति से सम्मातनत तकया।

अला-उद-दीन शाह (1 445-1457ए.डी.)

• वह एक कमजसर शासक था।

• 1457 ए डी में लाहौर के गवननर बाहुललसदी ने तदल्ली पर कब्जा कर तलयाऔर अलाउद्दीन शाह कस तसंहासन सेहटा तदया और उसे बदायंू भेज तदया।

Bahlul Lodi {1451 -1489 A, D.)

• Bahlul Lodi was the founder of Lodi Dynasty.

• The Lodi Dynasty is the last ruling dynasties of the Sultanate period.

• He took various measures to gratify his nobles.

• He conquered Etawa, Gwalior, Mewat, Sakit, and Samthal.

• He died in 1489 A.D.

• Bahlul Lodi was a wise ruler, he never sat on the throne and he used to sit on the carpet in front of the throne with his nobles to gain their recognition and support.

बहलसल लसदी {१४५१ -१४ A ९ ए, डी।)

• बहलसल लसदी लसदी राजवंश केसंस्थापक थे।

• लसदी वंश सल्तनत काल का अंततमशासक वंश है।

• उन्सनें यसग्य व्यखक्तयसं कस प्रसन्न करनेके तलए कई उपाय तकए।

• उसने इटावा, ग्वातलयर, मेवात, साकेतऔर सामथल पर तवजय प्राप्त की।

• उनकी मृतु्य 1489 ई में हुई।

• बहलसल लसदी एक बुखिमान शासकथा, वह कभी भी तसंहासन पर नही ंबैठा और वह अपनी मान्यता औरसमथनन हातसल करने के तलए अपनेरईससं के साथ तसंहासन के सामनेकालीन पर बैठता था।

Sikandar Shahi (1489-1517 A.D.)

• Sikandar Shahi was the son of Bahlul Lodi.

• He swore the title Sikandar Shah and ascended the throne.

• He was an orthodox Muslim.

• He put severe restrictions on the Hindus.

• Sikandar Shah enjoyed “Shehnai” Music.

• A work on music names “Lahjati-Sikandar Shahi” was created during his reign.

तसकंदर शाही (1489-1517 A.D.)

• तसकंदर शाही, बहलसल लसदी के

पुत्र थे।

• उन्सनें तसकंदर शाह की उपाति

िारण की और तसंहासन पर बैठे।

• वह एक रूत़िवादी मुसलमान थे।

• उसने तहंदुओं पर गंभीर प्रततबंि

लगाए।

• तसकंदर शाह ने "शहनाई" संगीत

का आनंद तलया।

• उनके नाम पर "लज्जती-तसकंदर

शाही" नाम का संगीत बनाया गया।

End of Lodi Dynasty (1517-1526 A.D.)• Ibrahim Lodi succeeded Sikhandar

Lodi.• He was an intolerant and adamant

ruler• He had humiliated many nobles and

killed some nobles cruelly.• He also treated his son Dilwar Khan

Lodi cruelly.• Daulat Khan, the most powerful noble

of Punjab, who was discontendedwith Ibrahim Lodhi, invited Babur the ruler of Kabul to invade India.

• Babur invaded India and defeated Ibrahim Lodi in the first battle of Panipat in 1526 A. D.
