INSTANT HOT WATER ATMAINS PRESSURE

A Grant Combi boiler provides bothcentral heating and hot water at mainspressure. Factory set to 70,000 Btu/h(Euroflame Combi 70 MkII) and 90,000Btu/h (Multi Pass Combi 90 MkII), theyare designed for use on a sealed heatingsystem, with all the necessarycomponents housed within the compactand elegant white casing.

Using the primary water stored in theboiler, for rapid response to a demand forhot water, and with quick recovery afterhot water operation, the Grant Combican provide ample amounts of hot waterinstantly, whenever required, night andday. A factory-set thermostaticblending valve ensures a stablecontrol of the hot watertemperature, minimising fluctuationscaused by other taps being turnedon!

Grant Combi boilers are designedto be installed beneath standardheight kitchen worktops. The Combi 90MkII only requires access from the frontfor routine servicing, whereas the Combi70 MkII needs a removable section ofworktop for service access andmaintenance operations.

All pipe connections are at the rear ofthe boiler, passing to either left or rightdepending on the type of flue systemused. The Combi 70 MkII is based on theEuroflame 50/70 and the Combi 90 MkIIbased on the Multi Pass 70/90, bothcomply with the OFTEC Standard OFSA100 (EN303 Part 4), and are the idealchoice for the replacement of oldappliances, leading the way in the energyefficient provision of central heating andhot water in small to medium sizedhomes.

UNIQUEOUTDOORMODULE COMBI

For properties where siting acombination boiler is difficult, Grant havedeveloped a unique outdoor version of thepopular Combi 90 MkII, details of whichare available on a separate outdoormodule brochure from Grant (UK).

GREATER EFFICIENCY

Both the Grant Multi Pass and EuroflameCombi boilers meet the requirements ofthe new European Boiler EfficiencyRegulations with a highly efficient heatexchange operation, achieving around93–95% nett thermal efficiency onheating.

Their advanced heat exchanger designforces the hot gases through thepatented baffle system for a distance ofup to 8.5 feet (2.6 metres) on the Combi70 MkII and 22 feet (6.8 metres) on theCombi 90 MkII, holding them in contactwith the boiler surface area for longer. This process vastly increases theamount of heat transferred to the waterjacket, enabling the boiler to operatecontinually at much higher efficiencies.

EZ-FIT FLUE

Grant Combi’s are designed to be usedwith a 100mm [4”] diameterconventional flue, however, they can alsobe installed with Grant’s new ‘EZ-FIT’multi-directional low level balanced fluekits, which with the new self-sealingducts, vastly cut down on installationtime. The new kit incorporates anextremely small stainless steel terminalguard, is designed to be less obtrusiveand can be installed using a core drill.High level and vertical EZ-Fit balancedflue kits and optional 450 and 900 elbowsare also available. Balanced flue boilersdiffer from conventional flue appliances inthat air for combustion is drawn fromoutside, via the balanced flue terminal, rather than from the internal space. Theuse of a balanced flue kit enablesinstallation through any suitable outsidewall, providing greater flexibility when

siting the boiler. For full details of all flueoptions please consult Grant’s latestRetail Price List or ask for ourcomprehensive flue guide.

THE ADDED BENEFITS OFGRANT BALANCED FLUEBOILERS

At Grant, we have developed an externalbalanced flue terminal that overcomesthe adverse effects of strong winds.Another important feature is a sealedburner, making Grant balanced flueboilers exceptionally quiet in the kitchenenvironment.

ENJOYING THE TWIN BENEFITS

An oil combination boiler provides thebenefits of highly efficient oilcentral heating, combined withinstant hot water.

The savings are considerable -- incost and space. You save space becauseunlike a conventional system there is noneed for a hot water cylinder in theairing cupboard, or cold water headertank in the loft (not forgetting all theextra pipework!). So you save money asthere is no need to pay to store hotwater.

Furthermore, you will never have towait for a 30-gallon cylinder to heat upbecause you’ve run out of hot water! Youcan have bath after bath, time aftertime. And, of course, because a combiprovides hot water direct from the coldmains, you’ll enjoy powerful, invigoratingshowers.

TRADITIONAL SYSTEM

GRANT COMBI SYSTEM

The Grant Round EZ-Fit low level balanced flue system is compatible with all Grant boilers, can be extended up to 2 metres andincorporate 450 or 900 elbows.

45o elbows can be used with high leveland vertical kits to offset the flue.

High levelbalanced Flue Kits are available(maximum run 4 metres).

Vertical balanced Flue Kits are availablefor heights up to 6 metres above the boiler.
