Who can participate at SBC 2016If you are 6-18 years old and you want to improve your game you must become a member of the SBC 2016 provided you realize that your effort for individual development should be achieved through togetherness and teamwork. If you wish to attend a session more appropriate to your age and ability please contact the coaches of SBC 2016.

Bring your stuff with youAll particapants should carry shorts, t-shirt, socks, basketball shoes, towell and the parental statement. They can also have any other personal item to make their stay at the camp more pleasant. Every camper and boarder should follow the camp and the boarding house rules. 34

1983 Ted Rodopoulos makes history. 1st SBC basketball camp begins. A basketball camp that in the years that will follow will set an example of how should basketball camps should operate!

1984 In 1984 six players led by coach Ted Rodopoulos visited the USA starting a long tradition that still goes on.

1985 Gale Catlett, coach of University of West Virginia teaches at SBC.

1988 The famous Halem Globetrotters show up in S.B.C. in their one and only appierance in a basketball camp!

1989 The NBA player Richard Madison comes to SBC.1990 1st Shooting Camp is a fact with head

coach, Pat Sullivan of St. Francis College.1994 Dick Hunsaker, coach of University of Utah,

teaches for 10 days.1995 Stanislav Eremin, coach of the Russian

National team teaches at SBC.1996 Tom Newell comes to SBC.1998 1st Pro camp & clinic with Bob and Gary

Kloppenburg at Anatolia College2002 2nd Pro camp & clinic with American

Shooting Camp 2016The most important part of SBC is the Shooting Camp. Coach Pat Sullivan started the firtst Shooting Camp in 1990 and his associate, Mike Kress, continued the Shooting Camp for seven years after that. 20 hours of Shooting Camp, along with the video station, give to the particapant the opportunity to see their improvement at their shooting skills, something fundamental in basketball. His basic associates are K. Vlostos and G. Zampelakis. 24 years of experience and excellent work of SBC coaches guarantees success at Shooting Camp 2016. Do not lose it!

Ted RodopoulosHe is the inspirer and the soul of the SBC. Widely respected for his knowledge on basketball, coach Ted Rodopoulos is the man who first introduced Basketball Camps in Greece. He has enjoyed success both as a player and a coach, with international experience, being a member of the National Team at every age level.He started coaching at a very young age. He perfected his knowledge in the States where he first went on 1970. A member of the National

Association of Basketball Coaches in the USA for 38 years. He is considered to be the best X’s and O’s man, a coach with vast knowledge and experience. He always gives the best during every camp day being focused on the improvement of young players. He strongly believes that the big drawback of players in Greece is their lack in fundamentals. Basketball camps worldwide, such as the SBC, help players understand this fact and get better by working on the fundamentals of the game.“If the teacher does not love teaching, the pupil will often hate learning”Over the 30 years of the Camp’s existence the stuff at SBC has come to symbolize excellence in instructional basketball.
