Thiscapacitorisopmizedforextremelylowself
inductancewhenconnectedtoasuitablelaminarbusstructure.Whensoconnected,thecapacitorisveryrigidlyaachedtosuchastructureandthusdoesnotnecessarilyneedtobemountedtoachassis.However,thecapacitorcasecanbeaachedtoanapplicaonsurface/heatsink,etc.ifdesired.Whensomounted,thecapacitorcanbepartofthebusstructuresup-port.Useofthermalinterfacecompoundbetweenthecapacitorcaseandapplicaonsurface/heatsinkwillassistwithremovalofcapacitorandbusheat.Note
thatthecapacitorinternalheangisVERYsmall,andotherbusstructureheatsourcesareverylikelysigni-cantly higher than the heat added to the bus by the
capacitor.Capacitordissipaonisapproximately2.5Wat100Arms,from1-100KHz.Itishighlyrecommendedtouseinfraredthermalimagingfromasystemcoldstarttodeterminethelocaonandrelavemagnitudeofthermalinputtothebus.Thecapacitormaywellfunconasathermalconduitforbusstructureheat,anditwillbeverypossiblethatthecapacitorinternalhot spot is less than the terminal temperature.
