• Bharti Foundation

– Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.

– The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India.

– The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential.

• Satya Bharti School Program

– The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation.

– It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus on the girl child across rural India.

– Present Operational Status:

• Number of Schools Operational: 250

• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh & Tamil Nadu

• Number of Students Enrolled: Over 30,000

Introduction

About the Community

• Geographical Location :In JAIPUR district north side 37 km ahead on NH 11-C situated BANIYAWALA village. There BHARTI FOUNDATION is running SATYA BHARTI schools in amber block . our school SBGPS Baniyawala situated 4 km . ahead from ACHROL.

• Cultural Background: Our school community members are mostly belong to ST cast. Their economical & educational status is so poor. They take simple costumes. Males wear dhoti, kurta & pagdi and females wear lahngha choli & chunri. Their food is bajra mostly. People make dal bati churma at any occasion. Mostly people involve in agriculture, labor and keep domestic animals.

• Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village: SATYA BHARTI school is a role model school in our village because we gives quality education and prepare to every child for life .they learn art of living and “how can we phase struggle?”

– Participation in ‘Design for Giving’ School Contest: we saw it is danger problem in our community because every child were not .

• We saw that people were doing smoking in large number. then we started the work to search problem. We find many people involved in smoking at different places like as tea thadi, kirana shop & their home.

We ‘Felt’:

• we thought about danger of smoking and its effect on community.

• We know that smoking is very injurious to health and society so we imagine a smoking free society.

• Children will be able to know that smoking is a very big problem so they will work to stop smoking in future.

We ‘Imagined’:

We organized a raily and show some posters of .

We conduct a drama in the middle centre of community

Some students and teachers went to at the work place.

After that students call parents & community members and realized about no smoking.

We tell the effect of smoking by painting, competition, poster making, puppet show, drama and through raily.

We ‘Did’:

People realize their mistake.

They wanted to leave smoking.

People aware for their

Children those see the parents

doing smoking.

People want remove and stop

The selling of smoking item

Around the village.

• Why problem is very hard and impossible but our confidence and strength are not loose then we can do everything.

Every category person belong to our community. so we can talk to other people in any situation.

• We always ready for any challenge . we believe us that we can do everything because nothing is impossible.

• We can phase any problem to easily and give best efforts for our children.

Impact on Us:

Experience of Community Members & Teachers:

Kaluram meena(community member);- it’s a very good job to remove smoking problem from community. Every third person is doing smoking today. In these situations your work is splendid.

Pawan sharma(head teacher) – we want to make a smoking free zone and we proud to this work.

Ramavtar yadav(teacher) - we want to completely remove the smoking problem.

Krishna yadav(student) –smoking is the reason of cancer, T.B., dama etc. please don’t smoke.

• We will success to positive change in our community by this program than we will make many efforts to change or awareness in our community .

• We will find out any ideas and give best efforts to our community .

• we will find the people who left the smoking encourage to stop smoking in whole community.
