Responsibilities:Keenan manufacture feed mixer wagons and market nutritional services combined with unique feeding technology to over 30,000 farmers in more than 40 countries. I had responsibility for developing and implementing a Customer Service strategy and structure to support direct sales to Keenan customers and partners in key markets. I had a broad brief that involved me directly in many facets of the business such as Warranty & Quality, Engineering & Technical support, Customer & Commercial services, New Product Development, Training and the creation of Tele-marketing function.
Greencore Malt Ireland: 2008 – 2010General Manager 2008 - 2010 Responsibilities:I had full P&L responsibility for managing Greencore Malt (GM) with a turnover of €40m, 58 employees and production of 93,000 tonnes of malt destined for the brewing and distilling industry. In addition I ran an Agri-Business that sold inputs to growers and procured up to 135,000t of malting barley through a network of branch stores. The role involved managing all aspects of the business from key account management, commercial sales both local and international, operations, manufacturing, quality and health and safety.
Waterford Crystal Ltd.: 1999 – 2008Head of Customer Services and Distribution 2005 - 2008 Responsibilities:I managed a team of 70 people including four direct reports with responsibility for all aspects of Customer Service and the operation of the Distribution Centre. The Customer Service department processed 410k order-lines p.a. and managed the customer order book from order receipt to delivery and after sales service. The Distribution Centre picked/packed/shipped in excess of 3.0m units p.a.; controlled the inventory of approx. 5,000 pallets of finished goods and managed freight to all markets around the globe. I was directly accountable for the monthly shipping target.International Sales and Marketing Roles 1999-2005 Business Development Manager – International Markets Responsibilities:I was responsible for developing new business and the profitable growth of the Waterford brand in the luxury goods sector in International markets. I led a small team of five people to manage a €20m annual sales budget across a diversified range of markets including – Russia; EU Countries; Poland; Norway; Japan; Pan Asia; Australia; Caribbean; Canada; S.Africa; Middle East. Irish Dairy Board (IDB), 1989-1999Business Development Director (Loyez-Woessen, Lille, France) 1997 - 1999Responsibilities:I project managed the design and construction of a new state of the art butter packing facility in Lille following IDB’s acquisition of Loyez-Woessen. I was then made responsible for the integration of Loyez-Woessen into the IDB group and all new commercial development both within IDB Group, in France and other World markets.Regional Marketing Manager – Benelux and France 1991 - 1999Responsibilities:I led a team of six merchandisers and one direct report based in Belgium and France with responsibility for the sales, marketing and strategic development of Irish dairy products under the Kerrygold brand.
