RECOGNIZING POTENTIAL EXPOSUREFirst aid situations

Workplace situations• Cleaning bathrooms• Cleaning up vomit

ALWAYS TREAT AS INFECTIOUS! REPORT ANY EXPOSURES!Use universal precautions • Gloves• Absorbent material to clean up fluids• Dispose of properly – use two trash bags,

do not throw contents into trashcans• Wash hands afterwards (even though you used gloves)

Slips, Trips & Falls

• All spills must be cleaned immediately• Wet floor signs are not a substitute for

properly cleaning a spill• Signs should be removed as soon as the floor

has been cleaned and dried• Pulled up carpet/flooring, chips in concrete

over 1/2in should be reported immediately to prevent someone from falling

• Floor mats should be positioned in front of all drink and ice machines

Any letter, package, powder, fluid or container that seems out of place, odd, or has unusual qualities.

Unusual qualities could include: items with strange odors, powder or powders, irregular shapes, soft spots, protruding wires, no return address, cut and paste letters, distorted handwriting, foreign or excessive postage.

Be aware and use your best judgment when confronted with anything out of the ordinary. Immediately contact your manager or Jacob if anything looks

suspicious!

Guest/Team Member InjuriesIncident reporting• Complete after any guest/team member injury • Form must be completed ASAP and sent to [email protected]• Injured team members requiring treatment must be sent to the closest

Texas Star approved facility, emergencies can be taken to the closest hospital for care

• Guests asking about claims and payment/compensation for their injury should be directed to Travelers Insurance

• Managers/team members should never engage in conversations about claims, do not promise anything

• Team members should always report when they receive an injury

Team Member Illness

Team members experiencing flu-like

symptoms, pink eye or any other communicable virus

should be sent home immediately!

Team Member Safety• At no time should team member schedules be given out over

the phone• Personal phone calls should not be received or passed on at the

theatres• We should never advise a caller as to whether a team member

is at work or on property

Crisis Management – E.A.PFIRE• Evacuate immediately through the

nearest exit away from the danger• Stay calm, if you panic,

so will everyone else• Communication is key,

delegate staff to inform theater guests • Do not put yourself in harms way• During a fire, any team member may use extinguishers to attempt to

extinguish a fire before evacuating• If the fire is already over 4ft tall, evacuate
