Pre-requisite:

Your Kyocera scanner must be located

on a network where it can access the

internet in order to connect to

Microsoft’s Office365 SMTP server.

You must also ensure that any network

web browser such as Internet Explorer,

Chrome or Firefox by entering the ma-

chine’s IP address into the address bar.

Login as an Admin ( default user name

Step 2

Now choose “Network Settings >TCP/

IP” from the menu

Scroll down to the DNS Server settings

and ensure that the correct DNS IP

address(es) for your network are

specified. (2)

If you do not have a DNS Server you

can use an external one such as of

Google’s ( IP address = 8.8.8.8)

Troubleshooting

Test fails

If the Test fails an error code will be given

Error code 1102

Please check that the User name and password details are valid for your Office 365 account. They must be associated with a

mailbox ( although this does not need to be a full mailbox account) and they cannot be for an alias. If you have set up a new

Office 365 account please ensure that it has not been setup as requiring a password change on first login ( a default setting in

Office 365)

Test succeeds

If Test succeeds but sending a scan fails you will get an error message.

Error code 3101

Please check that the sender address set is the same as the login user name. This is a requirement of Office 365
