Scandinavian Airlines: Overview Flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, and

Scandinavia’s biggest airline. Part of the SAS Group and headquartered at

Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in Sigtuna, Sweden; flies 182 aircraft to 90 destinations.

Its main hub airports are Copenhagen-Kastrup Airport, Oslo-Gardermoen Airport, and Stockholm-Arlanda Airport; it also has secondary hubs at Bergen-Fresland International Airport, Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport, Stavanger-Sola Airport, and Trondheim-Værnes Airport.

Carried 25.9 million passengers in 2012, accomplishing incomes of SEK 36 billion, which makes it Europe’s ninth-biggest airline.

Its fleet includes Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330 and A340, Boeing 737 Classic and Next Generation, and Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.

Founded in 1946 as an association to pool the transatlantic operations of Det Danske Luftfartselskab, Svensk Interkontinental Lufttrafik and Det Norske Luftfartselskap; that association was expanded to cover both European and domestic collaboration in 1948, and all three airlines were merged to found SAS in 1951.

Member of Star Alliance and one of its five founding members.

Scandinavian Airlines: Corporate offices Its main office is at Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN)

in Sigtuna Municipality, Sweden. The SAS Cargo Group A/S main office is in Kastrup,

Tårnby Municipality, Denmark. The SAS main office, until 2011, was located in

Frösundavik, Sweden, near Stockholm; Niels Torp Architects designed it, and it was built from 1985-1987.

In 2010, the relocating from Solna to Arlanda was finished.

A former SAS main office is located on the grounds of Bromma Airport in Stockholm.

Scandinavian Airlines: Livery SAS aircraft appear to be mostly white, but they are really a

very light beige with Scandinavian above the windows and Airlines under the windows in white lettering (excluding the belly, which is white).

The upright stabilizers are blue with the customary SAS logo on it.

Additionally, the engine casing is painted in scarlet with the word Scandinavian in white; the push reversers are white.
