2. Removing the Protective Packaging
Follow the procedure below to carefully remove the protective packaging before using the scanner.

4. Installing the Driver
Follow the steps below to install the driver for ScanZen onto your computer.
1 If you have an administrator on a shared network, be sure you log into Windows® as a user with administrator privileges.

Quit any other applications that are running on your computer.
Follow the instructions from the Installation Wizard to complete the installation.
Download the following file onto your hard drive.
Run the file that you downloaded in step 2. This creates a folder named “Disk1” in the same folder where the program is stored. Installation starts automatically after self-extraction. If it doesn’t start, double-click “Setup.exe” which is located in the Disk1 folder.

5. Connecting the ScanZen
Connect the cables in the following order.

6. Installing the Software
Follow the steps below to install the software.

Read the end-user license agreement shown below and select the [I agree to the terms and conditions above] checkbox.

Download the following file onto your hard drive.3
Be sure you log into Windows® as a user with administrator privileges.2
When the file download is completed, run the file.4
Follow the instructions on the window.5
END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
This End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between the user of this software (“You”) and PFU Limited (“PFU”) for governing the use of the PFU software to be used with PFU fi Series scanner product (“Product”). The PFU software includes the Software download tool(“Software”).

7. Scan Test
Using PaperStream Capture Lite and PaperStream IP (TWAIN) driver, scan a document with the following procedure to see if a scan can be performed properly.
