Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) is one of the main introductions for incoming students on campus. Although SCE students have already been introduced as college students already, SOAR is a must-attend event. So that means that each and every individual student must attend it otherwise you will miss out on a lot of important details. The event is a two day event starting on July 17th at 11AM-730PM. Favorite Hobby:Helping people out and making them SMILE :) This includes exploring the worldwhat do you want the students to know about and a picture sent back to me :D.

What do you want the students to know?Don’t be afraid to lose yourself while trying to find your purpose and passion at the university; however never forget where you come from and why you are here. Be proud of your background ethnicity/IDENTITY and learn to practice self love. You are your biggest challenge... if you do some-thing great challenge yourself to do something greater. The world is filled with endless opportunities you just have to go out there and find them.

Prepare yourself for the game of the Summer! Assassins will COMMENCE Tuesday at midnight and prepare! The game is simple. Run, evade, and tag! Everyone will recieve a sticker, a target, and your job is to go and hunt down your target. Everyone will be playing this game including the Undergraduate and Graduate Academic House Fellows. At the end, there will only be one person standing on top of the hill. Will that be you? or will it be your neighbor? Or

will it be your best friend? For the last four weeks, you will be running for your life or teaming up with people. Only time will tell. We hope that each and everyone of you will be safe and have a fun and exciting time playing Assassins. The winner will recieve an award and the losers will grieve over the fact that they got tagged in the middle of the day. May the odds forever be in your favor! Good luck!

The Rules• Everyone is playing Assassins!• Once you tag your target, he/she must

hand over their sticker and target over to you

• Any building is the safe zone! Once you are outside, you are a target. (including walking to Carsons, walking to the Nat, or Tripp Courtyard. Basically Anything outside)

• If you don’t want to play, then just sit somewhere where you can get tagged and exit the game.

• You may tag your target anywhere on the body. Let’s be appropriate though.

• Be honest if you get tagged and play fair. Do not create any confusion with students for it will ruin the game.

• Be safe and have fun! We want everyone to cherish the things to come in Assassins

Hey everyone! I am from Andover, Minnesota which is half an hour outside the Twin Cities. I’m the oldest of 5 and I’d consider my siblings my best friends. I’ve always had a crazy imagination and an addiction for adventure. I won a scholarship junior year to study abroad in Japan for a summer and had the time of my life. In the future, I’ll double major in International Business and East Asian Studies. I love anything artsy – scrapbooking, drawing, writing, playing guitar, acting, singing – heck, I told my third grade teacher I wanted to be Beyoncé. I was captain of my Speech Team and sprinter for my school’s swim team. I’ve held offices in Young Republicans and Alpha Omega Alpha Sorority. I’m an ambassador girl scout, worked part-time teaching at an elementary school, and I’ve won numerous awards and scholarships over the years. One day I hope to become a CEO of an international music production company and also own my own non-profit. Come say “Hi!” to me if you haven’t already! :)

I am from Madison, Wisconsin and I am a Madison East High School graduate. In high school, I was involved in the AVID program and Hmong dancing. In AVID, I learned and practiced many skills to succeed in college and I’m happy to be an AVID graduate. I started Hmong dancing my sophomore year of high school and since then my group has danced for multiple events such as the Madison Hmong New Year and multicultural school events. From Hmong dancing, I’ve learned so many things about my friends who dance with me and about my culture. Other things I enjoy doing are reading manga, playing volleyball, watching TV shows like Deadly Women and Criminal Minds, and writing short stories. I’m also a HUGE fan of Disney and PBS Kids! Next year, I hope to study Japanese, Linguistics, and Math (potentially engineering). It’s kind of different for someone to study these subjects together, but I love math because sometimes numbers are easier to deal with than people and I love languages and cultures because some of the most beautiful things are created by people.

I’m from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am a recent graduate of Menomonee Falls High School in Waukesha, Wisconsin. While attending Menomonee Falls High School, I was a Varsity Wrestler, Track & Field participant (Thrower), and a member of the football team. Along with sports, I volunteered all of my weekends cooking meals for the homeless at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If I had to pick the most exciting part of my high school experience, it would be volunteering. The feeling of knowing that I’m helping to make a difference is wonderful! Here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (GO BADGERS!), I hope to receive a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a certification in Spanish. I plan to take the Pre-Med track in order to pursue my dreams of becoming a medical physician with a dual emphasis in adult and pediatric healthcare.
