GENERAL DESCRI PTI ON
The ST7 panel can be program m ed using the software Silver-Pro7.
The program , which is supplied separately from the panel, can be installed on any PC provided with either
a serial port or a link for network connect ion with the panel to be program m ed.
A USB port is also necessary for the protect ion key that is used to prevent tam pering and unauthorised
m odificat ion after test ing.
The Silver-Pro7 program enables to use the panel at the highest possibilit y and hardware m odularit y,
besides being quite sim ple in use, as it ut ilises video windows including tables and select ion m enus
consistent with both panel com posit ion and funct ions to be obtained.
CONFI GURATI ON METHOD
The ST7 panel is m ainly com posed by one basic unit and one or m ore racks, where selected cards
according to the type of system installed are inserted.
Whatever it s special funct ion, each card is pract ically a device connect ing and cont rolling the input
(detect ion) and output (com m and) field devices.
Once they have been inserted into the racks, the cards m ust be configured, through Silver-Pro7 program,
to define:
a) character ist ics and inputs behaviour (sensors)
b) character ist ics and outputs behaviour (actuators)
c) logic and temporal com binat ions ( rules) determ ining which outputs are to be act ivated by status
variat ions of inputs.
During the configurat ion, the assigned zone of each device ( input or output ) is to be defined, as well as
it s behaviour in stand-by, alarm and fault condit ions.
1) Definit ion of inputs
Determ inat ion of behavior and t im e of delay of inputs.
Physical locat ion and addressing of devices.
2) Definit ion of actuators
Determ inat ion of behavior and t im e of delay of outputs.
Physical locat ion and addressing of devices.
3) Definit ion of rules (operat ing logics)
I t defines the status variat ions of inputs to determ ine the act ivat ing condit ions of outputs.
