nly dogs of six (6) calendar months of age and over on the day of competition are eligible for entry into an YKCqualifying class. Classes for handling are decided by the handler’s age. The classes are divided into three agegroups: 6-11 years (6 years and up to, but not including 12th birthday); 12-17 years (12 years and up to, but notincluding 18th birthday); 18-24 years (18 years and up to, but not including 25th birthday). Please enter the class agecategory you will be on the day of the qualifier. If you should move into the next age range after you have alreadyqualified, the YKC will invite you into the correct age group at Crufts. The method for Crufts qualification is a pointsbased system as follows: 1st Place = 30 points; 2nd Place = 15 points; 3rd Place = 10 points. Members will receivepoints per group (i.e. if they handle a bloodhound, they will get points towards the Hound group). If a member gets 30points in any one group, they will qualify to enter a dog from that group at Crufts 2019. If a member gains 30 or morepoints in multiple groups, they may only compete with one dog at Crufts, but they will have the option to choose fromany of the groups they have 30 or more points in. All points are reset to 0 on 1st January each year. In order to enterany YKC competition, you must be a fully paid up member at the time of entry and competition. If you enter a Cruftsqualifier and you have not previously paid your membership fee then any award will be forfeited. Before competing, please view a full list of the YKC competition rules at: www.ykc.org.uk/ and follow the compete tab.

THE YOUNG KENNEL CLUB HANDLING CLASSES - 3rd Day1605 6-11 years. For members of 6 years and up to, but not including 12th birthday

– Judge Miss Georgia Brown1606 12-17 years. For members of 12 years and up to, but not including 17th birthday

– Judge Miss Georgia Brown1607 18-24 years. For members of 17 years and up to, but not including 25th birthday

– Judge Miss Georgia BrownPrize money each class: 1st: £3; 2nd: £2; 3rd: £1

Only dogs of six (6) calendar months of age and over on the day of competition are eligible for entry into an YKCqualifying class.

Only dogs of six (6) calendar months of age and over on the day of competition are eligible for entry into an YKCqualifying class.
