Un Mensaje de Nuestro Pastor
Mis hermanos y hermanas en Cristo, Espero que todos esten bien y que, después de una semana ocupada, pueden descansar, algo muy necesario y bien merecido. ¡Gracias por el arduo trabajo que cada uno de ustedes hacen! Gracias a los voluntarios en formación en la fe, los Caballeros de Colón, los Guadulapanos y la Sociedad del Sagrado Corazón, que nos dan la oportunidad de disfrutar de una buena cena y la compañía de los demás, y los voluntarios de la Ferias de Comida, que se preparan para una más, y también a cada uno de ustedes que, día a día, trabajan duro para mejorar sus familias y nuestro mundo. Los niños ya están en la escuela, ¡algunos ya llevan más de un mes! Las pruebas y examenes se están acumu-lando, una preparación para la verdad de que cada día ene sus propias pruebas. Dios, a través de su ayuda y oraciones, nos bendice a cada uno de nosotros. Las lecturas de hoy nos ponen a prueba: ¿que hacemos? ¿cómo usamos nuestro empo, talentos y tesoros? Somos responsables el uno del otro. ¡Por favor sigue orando por mí y sépan que yo oro por ustedes! Presta mucha atención a lo que Jesús dice en el Evangelio: El no bendice la deshones-
dad: "La persona que es confiable en asuntos muy pequeños también es confiable en los grandes ... Si no eres confiable con lo que pertenece a otro, ¿quién te dará lo que es tuyo? ”El fin nunca jus fi-ca los medios. Por favor usa lo que enes bien; ust-ed pertenece a Dios y debe ser como Él, incluso ahora. Dios obra en lo que hacemos para traernos a Sí mismo. ¡Gracias a todos por la cálida bienvenida que le han brindado a Dcn. Pete y cómo lo están ayudando a ingresar al ministerio! A Message from our Pastor
My brothers and sisters in Christ, I hope all stays well and that, a er a busy week, y’all are ge ng some much needed and well-earned rest. Thank you for the hard work that each of y’all do every day! I mean that for the volunteers in faith forma on, the KCs, the Guadulapanos, and Sacred Heart Society, who’re each giving us chances to enjoy a good meal and each other’s company, and the Food Fair volunteers, who’re ge ng ready for 1 more, and each of you who, each day, works hard to make your families and our world be er. The kids are now well into school- some have been at it over a month already! Tests and reports are piling up- a prepara on for the fact that each day of life brings its own tests and trials. God, through your help and prayers, blesses each of us. This weekend’s readings pose a test for us- how are we using our me, talents and treasure? We are responsible for and to each other. Please keep praying for me and know that I pray for you! Pay careful a en on to what Jesus says in the Gospel- he doesn’t bless dishonesty- “The person who is trustworthy in very small ma ers is also trustwor-thy in great ones…. If you are not trustworthy with what belongs to another, who will give you what is yours?” the end never jus fies the means. Please use what you have well; you belong to God and are meant to be like Him, even now. God works in what we do to bring us to Himself. Thank y’all for the very warm welcome you’ve shown to Dcn Pete and how y’all are helping him get into ministry! He is a great blessing to us, as all of you are to me. God bless y’all always! -Fr Tom

ARCHDIOCESAN BLUE MASS: The annual Blue Mass honoring all law enforcement, criminal justice personnel, support staff and their families will be at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Saturday, September 28, at 5:00 p.m. Officers are encouraged to wear their dress uniforms without hat. Agencies are encouraged to bring equipment for the public to see and be blessed after the Mass. All law enforcement and criminal justice personnel, their support staff and families are invited to attend. All priests are also invited to attend and concelebrate.
