Lightweight systemUp to 30% lighter elevator system compared to the previous generation. - The Schindler Traction Media is 70% lighter than conventional steel ropes, needs no oil for lubrication and enables to reduce the size of the drive.

Thanks to its lightweight system, precision engineering and energy-saving features, the Schindler 3300 AP achieved an A-classification for energy efficiency according to the VDI4707-1 standard.

Space efficiency

Less space for components, more room for the passengers. Up to 25 cm wider car that still fits in standard-sized shafts.

One- or two-sided entrance is available as standard. The selective door opening helps optimizing the building’s traffic.

The Suspension Traction Media (STM) enables a smaller traction diameter of 85 mm, translating into a smaller motor size.

Less space creates more room. Specifically designed to minimize the space required for technical equipment. The control cabinet fits into the landing door frame and the drive is directly installed in the shaft.

A great invention…The machine-room-less technology is one of the greatest breakthroughs the elevator industry has encountered in the past few decades. This technology became very popular among the building industry, as it had many tangible benefits for everyone – the architects, building owners, users and the environment. Hence, it is no surprise that this technology quickly became the standard in Europe and many other parts of the world.

…made possible by smaller and more efficient machinesSchindler’s innovative MRL technology was made possible by the introduction of ACVF gearless machines, which are significantly smaller in size and more energy efficient. The reduced motor size can be mounted within the elevator shaft itself, avoiding the need for a separate machine room above the shaft.

Saving space and resourcesThe Schindler MRL’s greatest strength lies in its space-saving factor, promising less building material and construction time needed. By allocating all the elevator equipment in the shaft, architects and designers are free to use the extra space for more productive purposes. Finally, thanks to the compact gearless machine, a larger car can be fitted into a standard shaft space, which helps save headroom space and pit depth.

The sustainable futureAs environmental considerations grow increasingly important in Asia’s building industry, more customers demand energy-savings and green building certifications.
