1st Feb’13 launch of Blaze Online contest for students to log in understand details, form
teams and submit their registrations and contest related documents.
30th March’13 submission of entries closes
Jury to shortlist the winners for the 2 contest “Power House” & “Do it Yourself”- Energy
Audit Contest
Winners from each college will participate in mega final on 15th May’13. The select few
groups who make it through the different rounds will battle it out in the Mega Finals where
they would submit their reports to the jury, who will decide the winning team and crown
the “Blaze 2012 Youth Ion”.
Publish the consolidated event report & details and provide to Marcom for publish in In
Comm. by 30th May’13
Conduct online survey to consolidate all the responses and analyze the areas of
improvement

CONTEST DETAILS
Contest has 2 levels:
Level 1
Power Hour – the online super challenge
Only selected teams can participate in this level of the contest Selection of team will be based on registration form submitted in online contest site. Students needs to decide a team –download the registration form-fill and upload the form in online contest site.The groups will be given 10 days to submit the Paper online This is not an elimination round. The points will contribute to the overall performance of the group
Power Hour- An online paper presentation contest for the short listed groups. This round is an online white paper contest. The topic for white paper would be shared with shortlisted student groups only. Each of the groups has to submit the online paper within the specified date. The whitepaper cannot exceed a maximum of 1500 words. The framework of the whitepaper is: a. Title. b. Introduction c. Problem definition d. High-level solution e. Solution details f. Business benefits g. Summary This is not an elimination round. The points scored in this round will contribute to the overall evaluation of the group. The white papers will be evaluated based on the following parameters1. Innovation2. Extent of perceived benefits

Level 2
2. “Do it yourself” Energy Audit contest
All participants conduct the Energy audit of their campuses.
Energy audit report to be submitted online (refer link below)
The reports will evaluated by the jury . Appropriate number of teams will be selected from each
college
These teams will go to “BLAZE 2013 YOUTH ION” Mega Finals
This is a final test of innovation in energy auditing and saving through an actual hands-on audit of
the specific college campuses. The selected few groups who make it through the different rounds
will battle it out in the Mega Finals where they would submit their reports to the jury, who will
decide the winning team and crown the Blaze 2013Youth Ion.
Note - For ‘level 2’ alone all short-listed teams would be briefed about the Energy audit process before they start the field work

•Who can participate in Level 1& 2 ?
•3rd and 4th year engineering students from any discipline•Participation in the form of teams•Each team can include a minimum of 3 & max. of 5 members
•Online registration
Screening
Only a select set of groups will be selected on the basis of information provided in registration form. These groups will be eligible for the next round. The selected student groups will be informed via e-mail
