Message from the Principal (cont.)

Building Works The temporary fences are up beside the bike shed. A brand new relocatable is being delivered ready for the

start of the new year. Before it is, the shelter and garden shed will be removed. Plans are under way for a

new shelter to be developed at the end of Mr Mulhall’s room that would look out over the oval.

A garden shed will be located closer to the blue dumper.

After the building is handed over to us, we will be able to focus on the paving around that area. Currently

the paths are ‘all over the place’ following different generations of work. The aim is to make the entrance of

the school unified and connected by great pathways.

Until then, please be patient and watch your step.

Neil Pollard

The Key for Success in Term 4 is Confidence. The habits of mind that go with the Confidence Key are: Working independently, Taking risks in your work and Accepting yourself.

Our YCDI Award winners for this week are:

Blair W, 2PV: This student has worked so hard all year. He has developed a whole new mindset and is willing to give new things a go. He now understands that we all need to learn from our mistakes and challenges. He is regularly telling us that he is feeling so much better about school and loving learning new things. We are so proud of your hard work and your 'work tough' attitude Blair, keep it up!!

Ivy M, 1P: This student in 1P has gone from a quiet, timid, nervous girl…. to a mature, respectful and much more self-assured young lady, with a level of maturity well beyond a 7 year old. Over the year she has built up her confidence. Her ability to give it a go, work tough and persist even when things get hard is a credit to her. I - is for Improvement you have shown in your own self belief and trusting in your own abilities. V - is for the Vivacious, bubbly person you are Y – is YOU and the heart and determination you show when things, or life around you gets tough Ivy, you are a super star! Keep it up!

Ela G, 6Q: If confidence was a superpower, She would be a hero for sure, With confidence on the back of her cape, She’s going to achieve a lot more. When it comes to giving everything a go, She has the right attitude indeed, Knowing with effort she can learn anything, Is all she will ever need. When work gets tough her power kicks in, And she confidently goes about her stuff, Even when it’s almost too much, Her super cape flutters and she manages to work tough. If it’s on a court or in a class, Confidence is her key to success, Ela G. will keep backing herself, To be her very best. Well done Ela!
