School Excellence Awards-2017 Our school was conferred upon “School Excellence Awards-2017” by Brainfeed- a renowned

educational magazine. School got two awards - one for being among the top 500 schools from

all over India and other for being among the best schools of Haryana in a glittering function

organized at New Delhi on 4th February 2017.

Mr. Vinod Sharma, Principal received the award on behalf of the school. Top 500 schools from

all over India were chosen for this award this year. It is a matter of pride that the school has

been felicitated with such honours in the recent past as well. For its quality education, DPS

Panipat Refinery is reckoned among the best schools in the state. Year after year, it has been

producing excellent results in class X and class XII board exams conducted by CBSE.

Essay, Speech & Poster Making Competitions

An essay, speech and poster making competitions

were organized by our school for the students of

classes VI to X in association with Panipat Refinery.

The events were organized as a part of the

celebration of Conservation of Fossil Fuel-2016.

The theme of the competition was “Indhan

Sanrakshan Ki Jimmedari Jan Jan Ki Bhagedari”.

Inter House English Speech competition An Inter House English Speech competition was held on 8th Dec’16 for classes VI to VIII. Shivalik House

bagged 1st position and Aravalli House bagged 1

st runner – up position.

Inter House Cricket Match (Boys) – VI & VII The Inter House Cricket Match (Boys) was held on 6

th Feb’17 for classes VI & VII. Vindhyachal

House got 1st position followed by Aravalli House.

Inter Section Cricket Match (Boys & Girls) The Inter House Cricket Match (Boys) was held on 6

th Feb’17 for classes III - V. Classes III-D, IV-D

and V-D were the winners of the competition.

Intra Section Skipping Competition - girls (III-V) The Intra Section Skipping Competition for girls was held on 17

th Feb’17 for classes III - V. The best three

students from each section were awarded certificates.

Annual assembly “Aashayein – Srishti Bachayein” for classes Prep & I was held on 23rd February 2017.

Mr. B.V. Ramagopal, Executive Director (I/c), Panipat Refinery was the chief guest of the program. The

program commenced with a welcome song followed by dance drama. The theme of the dance drama was

to save the universally endangered culture and environment for our future generation.

Seminar on Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) A seminar on continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation was conducted on 17th Dec’ 16 in our

school. 23 teachers from thirteen schools of Panipat / Samalkha participated in the seminar.

The aim of the seminar was to discuss at length the value points related to analysis of

evidences of assessment and how to better the assessment procedure.

Workshop for Librarians Mr. Ashish Sagar, Librarian attended a workshop on the topic “Vital Role of Library in

School Education”. The workshop was held at the HRD Centre, DPS Dwarka from 11th –

13th Jan’17.

Inter School Microsoft Training Program 06 students from classes VI to VIII participated in the Inter School Microsoft Training

Programme organized by DPS Panipat City, Panipat on 18th Jan’ 17.

Physical Education Teachers’ Conclave Mr. Mahender Singh Kharb, Physical Education Teacher attended a workshop on the topic

“Equilibrium between Sports & Study”. The workshop was held at the HRD Centre, DPS

Dwarka from 17th
