Who are NOVUS?NOVUS was founded in 2013 by BiS Henderson who are an award-winning supply chain, procurement and logistics recruitment and consulting business.

NOVUS is a ‘not for profit’ organisation run in association with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT(UK)). We’re backed bya number of leading retailers, manufacturers and logistics service provider organisations (see next page) and from September 2014 are offering two courses at the University of Huddersfield:

– BA (Hons) in Business with Supply Chain Management– BSc (Hons) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

The core supply chain components are common to both courses. Following a company-led selection process, successful applicants will study for a four-year sandwich course leading to an Honours degree at the University of Huddersfield.

During their course, students will have a company mentor, participate in industry led seminars and site visits, study for additional professional qualifications, as well as enjoying paid vacation and sandwich-yearplacements with leading employers. Most importantly, NOVUS will guarantee an offer of graduate employmentwith one of the supporting companies on successful completion of the programme.

The course

Year 1

Develop in-depth understanding of business and its environment.

Focus will be on developing professional and academic skills andexploring the importance of logistics

and supply chain management to the success of businesses.

Year 2

Students will gain a detailed understanding of the key elements of the supply chain, along with the

importance of integrating these activities. Analytical and project

management skills will be refined.

Year 4

Returning to university in the final year, students will focus on global, strategic and advanced aspects of

logistics and supply chain management. Alongside their

dissertation they will learn from industry leaders how to develop

effective leadership skills.

Year 3
