Meet and read to Bark Dog at the Sun Valley Branch Library. Bark dog is a therapy dog who loves children. Your littles will enjoy this fun and unique storytime. Free admission. Event runs from 2-3pm.

Today, a Fire Service Day Open House will be conducted at all Los Angeles County fire stations. Fire Service Day offers the public an opportunity to visit their local fire station to learn about the services provided by dedicated personnel. Bring your kids out to climb on the red engines and meet real life heroes. Check your local stations for times.

Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Flea Market & Salsa Festival is back! Bring the whole family out to enjoy a car show, interactive family entertainment, food & fun for everyone! General admission starts at $6, children 9 and under are free. Event runs from 9am-4pm.

Select Pacific Theatres locations offer newly released films on Monday Mornings to accommodate parents with infants. This week enjoy a movie with your baby.

The Grinch does his best to undermine Christmas at Whoville with the help of his trusted dog and reindeer. The Granada Hills Branch Library invited you and your children to watch his oddly heroic journey. Free admission. Event starts at 3:30pm.

Join other parents to learn strategies on how to connect with your child, healthy alternatives, and trends in schools and the community. Growing Together Parent Resource Symposium is a free workshop that invites local community organizations to provide information on available resources for parents and children. The Antelope Valley Ballet invites you to join Alice as she follows the white rabbit down the rabbit hole into the magical world of Wonderland. Experience hip-hop moving Tweedles, a modern Caterpillar, a tap dancing Mad Hatter and a wildly mad tea party to match the wit and whimsy of Lewis Carroll’s timeless story. Admission starts at $5. The show begins at 11am.

Visit your local Home Depot today for a free kids’ workshop. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Check your local Home Depot for times. All kids’ workshops hosted by Home Depot are free.

Join CCRC for our 23rd Annual Annabelle Godwin Play Day at Woodley Park. This FREE community event offers fun learning activities for both children and parents including a reptile exhibit, obstacle course, hair and face paint, music and more! Each child in attendance will receive a FREE age appropriate book. Event runs from 10am-1pm.

They craft; you shop, it’s Kids Club at your local Michaels! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a winter themed project. Sign up in-store, online or just drop in. $2 per project, supplies included. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event. Event start at 10am.

The Sagebrush Cantina Kids Club is every Tuesday evening. Enjoy free kid friendly performances and activities geared toward kids 10 and under. Kids can experience free face painting, tattoo art, balloon making, gymnastics and disco dancing in an enclosed area while parents relax, dine and socialize. Event starts at 5:30pm.

Inside Heritage Junction, the Saugus Train Station Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays. Transport your family back in time and marvel at the history of Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas. Enjoy the rich heritage of this unique region of Southern California. Admission is free. Open 1-4pm.

Thousands of Angelenos who are our neighbors, families, friends, and co-workers will march together in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Harvey Milk, Dolores Huerta, and Cesar Chavez to mark the struggle for the rights of all workers and all immigrants. L.A. People’s Power rally starts at 3pm at the corner of 6th St. and Park View.

Imagination, as well as the Bob Baker Marionettes will be dwelling at the Southern California Children’s Museum this spring. This interactive children’s utopia features puppetry, a wide range of performances, creativity, magic and fun! Admission starts at $8. Open 9:30am-1:30pm.

Bring your littles out to visit the Vasquez Rocks Interpretive Center and learn about this fascinating area. This interactive nature walk will certainly intrigue the whole family. Admission is free. Open 8am-4pm.

The Tarzana Community Cultural Center invites you to the San Fernando Valley Fun Fest. Families are invited to enjoy loads of entertainment, face painting, bouncy houses, and more! Presale tickets start at $5, adults and infants are free. Event runs from 11am-4pm.

Odd Nights at the Autry is a great Friday night for the family, including the dog! Live music, food trucks, art, handmade vendors, and so much more! Kids under 12 are FREE, general admission is $5 at the door (cash only) or get your tickets in advance online. Event runs from 6-11pm.

The Lancaster Museum of Art and History hosts Young Artist Workshops every 3rd Thursday of the month. Each workshop is based on one of the current exhibitions featured in the gallery. Young Artist Workshops are FREE to the public. Workshops typically start every 1/2 hour between 3-7pm.

The Sylmar Branch Library invites you and your littles to come out and enjoy some Building Brick sculpture fun! This free STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) will challenge your kids to create their wildest dreams. Free admission. Event runs from 4-4:45pm.

Home to over 60 of the world's most endangered felines, the Feline Conservation Center welcomes children and cat lovers of all ages to come and explore. General admission starts at $10, children 3 and under are free. Open 10am-4pm.

Monday Bitez invites you to a multicultural food fest where there are options for everyone. Bring your friends, family and neighbors out to experience live music, bouncy houses, food trucks and MORE! If you’ve got little conductors, you should bring them out to the Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad! Come out and enjoy their 7-gauge model trains that are open for free public rides every Sunday. Although rides are free, donations are encouraged. Event starts at 11am.

You know what Fridays are great for? Table Tennis! Drop by the Newhall Community Center for free rounds of table tennis. No registration is required. Event runs 9am-1:30pm.

For years, the world famous La Brea Tar Pits and Museum has been displaying the earth’s most fascinating and ancient creatures. LoveReach presents Spring Fest 2019! You are invited to join them for a day of music, food, fun and games on Saturday May 4, 2019. Enjoy a game truck, jumpers, giveaways, vendors, and raffles for the whole family to enjoy for FREE! Event runs from 12-5pm.

Linda Richards has been planting with California native plants since 2002 and her Redlands home features a former lawn that is now a successful 10-year-old native garden. Bring the family out to experience this amazing piece of nature. Admission is free with RSVP. Event runs from 10-11am.

Join us for a special Mother’s Day activity at our Book, Toy and Resource Library in Victorville! We will be making tote bags for moms with special love and care. Admission is free but RSVP is required. Event runs from 10am-4pm.

80-85% of your baby's brain will be developed by the time he or she enters school. Infant-Toddler Success is offering a free parenting class for families with children ages 0-5. This class includes a free meal, free child care, and a free children's book to take home and read to your baby or toddler. Event runs from 8:30-10:30am.

Mother Goose is on the Loose at the Archibald Library! This interactive storytime is fast-paced and geared towards children ages 0-3. Get ready for rhymes, songs, lap-bounces, movement, and of course classic Mother Goose rhymes. Admission is free. Event starts at 12pm.

The Tzu Chi Mobile Food Pantry in Southern California works toward the goal of helping reduce poverty statistics through food distributions.
