The masthead stands out on the cover because the text is a different colour to the rest and it is sectioned off to the rest of the page.

The photograph of the girl shows that the atmosphere is happy and it’s a good place to be as she looks relaxed and cheerful.

The main picture of the cover is a piece of artwork and it boasts the talent of the school and shows how the school is excellent. The photograph of the girl shows she is proud of the art work suggesting it is hers.

I don’t think the masthead stands out on this front cover. I think this because the blue colour blends in with the page and therefore doesn’t stand out. It should be a more vibrant colour.

I like how the splash is in the same font style and position of the masthead and this makes a connection between them. The font colour stands out on that colour background.

The facial expression of the girl is happy and this suggests the school is a pleasant place to be. The shot is medium shot shows her body language and how is relaxed.

This is the schools logo and this is to show the magazine represents the school.

The masthead doesn’t stand out on the page as it is the same colour to the rest of the text on the cover.

The exam results show that the school is successful and the girls facial expressions are proud and happy with there results.

The medium close up shows the two girls standing close together and also shows the school is based on unity.

The fact the splash is about maths and the girls are holding result papers, this shows they have done well in maths.

This is a medium shot. It is effective how the text is laid on top of the image. Her facial expression is happy, so this suggests the school is a friendly environment.

The masthead doesn’t stand out on this page. The font size is too small and the colour doesn’t draw your attention. I would use a more bold font and make the size of the text bigger and also use a more vibrant colour.

The subtitle ‘contents’ is not as clear as what it should be. Considering this page is a contents page - the text size should be bigger so that it is recognisable. And because it is black text on top of a black background this hides the text away.

The fact the colour of the subheadings are a different – this sections off information and makes it easier to find what you want.The colour scheme of this page doesn’t go

together. The colours are boring and they don’t compliment each other.

The masthead isn’t very clear and you cant tell what it says. However, the colour does stand out on the orange coloured background.

The title ‘contents’ stands out ore than the masthead however, the masthead is meant to be the main focus. The colour is bright and this draws your attention to it. And also the fact it is a different font makes it stand out more.

This is a long shot. This is effective to the reader because they can see their whole body and their body language. They look relaxed and look as though they have a ‘cool’ attitude. I like how the text is

shaped around the girls body. This makes the text spread out more and it doesn’t make it look so compact.

The colour scheme is very bright and eye catching. However I don’t think the orange looks well with the bright blue text. There are too many colours on the page and due to that, it draws your attention away to the main point of the page.
