Jingee Wala We acknowledge the traditional
custodians of the land on which we live,
work and our school stands.
We pay our respect to elders past and
present and strive to inspire our future
leaders.
Thank You We would like to thank ALL visitors to our school this term who have assisted us with little projects, Sista Speak, Bro Speak, reading, sport and learning. Thank you, Dan, Jennifer, Blake and Megz from One Vision for coming to our school this term to teach valuable audio, video and lyric writing skills to our Year 3-5 class. We will be show casing our student’s amazing, original finished product to our community and broader community next term. Also thank you to our Ballina High school students who have been mentoring our K-5 students in cultural activities this term. Naplan Students in Years 3 & 5 who sat the 2018 National Assessment Program-Literacy and Numeracy tests earlier this year have had their results sent home last week. They are an indicator of performance, but should be judged against additional school based data and semester reports. Please feel free to call in to discuss your child’s results with me.
Next Term Next term we will be having a focus on home reading and buddy reading. All students are successfully moving forward in their reading levels and we would like to continue exposing our students to rich texts and readers to further develop their reading skills, strategies and their depth of understanding. We would love your support in this area and welcome you to come and be involved as a role model for reading! Please let us know when you are available. We would love to see our
