The Audacious School of Ministry is a brand new partnership between !Audacious Church & Alphacrucius College, Australia.

In the school of ministry you will learn from internationally recognised lecturers, specialists in their subject area as well as connecting via placement with the leadership and staff of !Audacious Church.

The course provides an overview of the Old and New Testaments, Christian worldview, leadership, discipleship, ministry and theology all taught within the context of one of the UK’s fastest growing flagship churches.

All of these areas of study are grounded here in the local church. !Audacious provides the place for a practical internship, as well as facilitating student discussions and collaborative learning. All the time utilising the Alphacrucius online learning platform Moodle which provides students with the course materials and resources.  

Regardless of background or age The Audacious School of Ministry is designed to resource you in your understanding of:

A-Teams is the community arm of !Audacious Church. Each week our volunteers reach out to hundreds of people within the Greater Manchester area. You will have the opportunity to be involved at a strategic level, assisting our outreach teams who meet the needs of our city seven days a week.

A year in the Community Department will offer you a unique insight into the logistics of helping others, gaining the skills you’ll need to lead by example. and organise others to help them represent the love and service of Jesus in the most practical of ways. You’ll see first hand how the power of kindness works. Strap yourself in and get on board, we promise you it will change you forever!

COMMUNITYACTION

What to expect:

• Working on teams in church and in the community with the homeless and girls in the red light district of Manchester.

• Making and delivering food and baby hampers to local families in immediate need; supporting new mums.

• Assisting local individuals and families affected by illness with practical support, and assisting our current volunteer coordinator.

Behind every event there are a team of people who make it happen, with the vision to create something excellent that’s both memorable and life-changing. Although the “look & feel” of an event are key, it’s not just gaffa tape, glitter and glue! Whether organising an internal event for hundreds of women, or a two day external hire for a local business, events management is about planning, team building and customer satisfaction. You’ll come away with new strategies, having gained skills in supplier liaison, communication budgeting and a whole lot more.

EVENTSMANAGEMENT

Expect to work closely with our operations team, the guys from production and media, to learn what it takes to pull off something truly !Audacious.

What to expect:

• Learning to scope, develop and plan of all the events in an annual church calendar.

• Forecasting timelines and working with departmental leaders to deliver event solutions

• Venue liaison and communication; both internal and external to the church

• Coordinating prop hire, live production needs, catering and more.

There is always so much happening in !Audacious Youth and our amazing interns have the opportunity to be on the front line of it all! It’s all about leading, loving, growing and stretching; you’ll have full access to our !AY pastors and will become an integral part of the best youth team on the planet!

Our !AY Friday’s are a huge party every week, bringing life to our city. These nights sit at the heart of everything we do, as we also invest time to reach out to thousands of young people each year through schools work and special projects.

It’s hard to describe everything we do, but behind all the hard work is a family of passionate people who give their lives, on a crazy adventure to love young people to life.

!AUDACIOUSYOUNG ADULTS

Young adults are the most varied bunch of beautiful, precious people at the very heart of !Audacious Church. Comprising students, young professionals, young married couples, singles, internationals and homegrown Northern types, we are building home together.

The heart cry of the awesome YA team is to reach a city and to represent the love and the power of God on campus. We love to be front and centre when it comes to serving at !Audacious Church, and place emphasis on having real, life-changing God encounters. Prayer, worship and pancakes are at the very centre of our department!

We’re ready to ride a new wave of passion, loving people whatever stage of life they find themselves at and making a significant difference in the ‘now generation’.

!AUDACIOUS KIDS

The !Audacious Kids team are building a fun, faith-filled and (most importantly) God-centred kids programme. Our dynamic guys and girls have the privilege of ministering to children aged 0- 11 years old every week. If you are in touch with your bonkers side, can think creatively and have high energy levels, we want to hear from you!

Our interns thrive in a team environment that has a real ‘family feel’, and all have a heart to reach children of all ages with the Gospel.

You’ll learn new skills, find your niche and grow in your ability to lead others. Every one of our kids team is part of changing a nation , one child at a time!

What to expect:

• Planning and delivering weekly Sunday programmes including teaching themes, prop-building, prayer, etc

FINANCE

If you have a heart for church, and dream of playing an integral role that supports and positively influences all departments of Church life, then being a Finance could well be for you! It’s impossible to fully quantify the importance of a good financial team, in any organisation. You will play a key role to the successful running of each and every despartment, as well as assisting with the strategic development of all our financial management systems. Great financial stewardship enlarges people’s capacity for faith and expectancy as they give towards a vision to build something lasting and significant for God.

You will work closely with our CFO, who will train you in the basics of finance, accounting and business; skills which will last you a lifetime!

• Financial reporting and analysis• Income counting and processing• Banking and recording of figures• Expenditure controls• Making payments• Budget planning and analysis• Development planning for growth,

raising funds and investing

OPERATIONS & ADMINISTRATION

Our operations department is the oil that keeps things flowing, and the glue that sticks it all together! In a church with a vision to stop the traffic, we are constantly planning, strategising, making improvements, facilitating change and innovating new methods of how to do what we do.

The team is full of hidden heroes who make things happen, keep the clock ticking, move the vision forward and so much more!

You’ll gain experience in building systems, empowering others and helping to create a culture of excellence, through a wide variety of tasks and projects.

What to expect:

• Coordination of the office environment including reception, office meetings, facilities and resources.

• Facilitation of all major, midweek and weekend events.• Planning of the church calendar, working with the weekly

needs of a growing church staff, HR, legal compliances, documentation and processing.

PASTORAL CARE

People come in all different shapes and sizes; each uniquely designed by God. The job of our outstanding pastoral team is to create a culture of discipleship and relationship that means church becomes much more than an organisation or charity. It becomes a home for so many - a community that feels like a family.

Our desire is also for the Church to become a place where people take responsibility for their own growth and development, and that of the people around them. From systematic discipleship ideas through to crisis care and everything in between, a year in this multifaceted department will equip you to successfully meet the needs of a growing and diverse church population.

As a department we have the immense privilege of creating an environment for young people to encounter the awesome presence of our God. We firmly believe in the role that worship plays within the local Church. Through our teams we seek to bring the unique sound of Heaven to Earth in everything we do.

The aim of our live worship teams isn’t just to play great music, produce the best sound or deliver great visuals. We are desperate to encounter Jesus and speak with a prophetic voice, using our various gifts and talents. Ultimately we’re seeking to break through into the Heavenly realm so that the power of our Saviour might be displayed in our services.

There are so many opportunities within our Creative and Live Production teams, to help you develop your skills and push past the limits of today.

A large church with a heart to reach the nations needs a skilled team to help set the standard. !Audacious Church has an in-house team of graphic designers, illustrators, video editors, camera operators, photographers and more, to help make church as engaging, exciting and professional as possible! Not just limited to our services (which are streamed around the world), we also generate promotional material for conferences, departmental and special events.

Not content just to follow trends, our team meet weekly to seek the heart of the original Creator together, to gain a prophetic edge on what we produce and to demonstrate the extraordinary God we serve to the people we serve.
