SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAM OFFERS FREE CLASSROOM PRESENTATIONSRiding Valley Metro bus and/or light rail is a great start to a fi eld trip! These presentations are geared toward the age of the class and teach students about:

• Transit safety tips

• Environmental impacts

• Economic savings

FREE GROUP FIELD TRIP PASSESPreschool through 8th grade classrooms are eligible for free rides on local bus and light rail. We help plan group trips on regular transit service, provide an itinerary and provide a free group fi eld trip pass. Field trip guidelines:

• Advance notice of two weeks or more required

• Free fare trips available weekdays between 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

• Maximum of 35 people per group

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMThe Community Outreach Program off ers the public and organizations the ability to learn about all the diff erent aspects of transit. Our transit education team can provide:

• Overview of Valley Metro services and alternate modes of transportation

• Mobility training for groups of senior citizens and persons with disabilities

• Transit orientation training for groups with special needs

• Transit representation at community events

Transportation choices impact air quality, local economy and communities. Valley Metro’s Transit Education team provides information about transportation choices that can make a diff erence—it’s a lesson for a lifetime.
