(room 5 on the green ramp) & receive a visitor’s badge which must be visibly worn
A completed & approved DPS background check must be on file in the office before you will be allowed to volunteer at school or chaperone field trips

Work missed that is to be graded must be completed in the school setting – recess, lunch detention, or after school Instructional Recovery (parent will be notified)

Our grading policy is stated in the Student/Parent Handbook.
It is as follows:A = 90-

Progress Reports Will go home every 3 weeks following the 1st 9

Conduct RelatedMeasures student behaviorsTime on task, work completion, organization, refusal to complete work, failure to use strategies, etc.
ConductBehaviors will be directly aligned to
the conduct grade, not the academic achievement grade
Students with chronic concerns will be referred to RTI
Students who consistently turn in late work will have comments to reflect that on their report card
Only one overall conduct grade will be received

in homeroom. At the end of each 9 weeks, the number of discipline signatures will be totaled for each student.
Excellent = 0-1 discipline marks Satisfactory = 2-7 discipline marks Needs Improvement = 8-10 discipline marks Unsatisfactory = 11+discipline marks
If a student is sent to the office for a severe offense, such as fighting, they will receive an automatic N for the 9 weeks
Any student who is suspended will receive an automatic U for the 9 weeks.

Reading, writing, grammar - 12 grades
Spelling - 8 spelling test grades
Math10 equally weighted
Science/Social Studies10 equally weighted in each subject

Grading Grades are agreed upon by the grade level &
aligned with grade level determined grading opportunities
All grades will be identified with main ideas that represent the TEKS addressed
Grades will be entered in the grade book NLT 3 days following the due date; all grades will carry equal weight
CSCOPE assessments must be used
