Working in flexible project teams that mirror the workplace, our students embed vital skills and experience to set them apart from students leaving a traditional education setting.

Study with the advantage of applied learning, team working in immersive projects; some co-created with our employer and academic partners, others self guided to develop academic rigour or targeted to a personal area of interest.

We have proactively sought forward thinking employer partners who bring a host of opportunities for ongoing work placement and career insight.

An opportunity to personalise and follow your passion with your own elected activity.

Students plan a portion of their working week to continue a personal area of interest that would

not normally be allowed as a regular part of a school’s curriculum. All that we ask is that this is developmental and is genuinely

enriching.

Examples are drone flying, club and county level sport, specialist language study, engine

maintenance, band practice and rock climbing!

BTS students will repeatedly enjoy successes but importantly, will also know failure, both individually and in a team.

Our students will consider topical issues in the Big Debate; combining political, social and religious aspects, from moral dilemmas to an appreciation and understanding of the political establishment.

CAREER FOCUSED SECONDARY EDUCATION

The CREATE framework has been developed specifically for Studio Schools to equip young people with the key employability skills they need to flourish in life. It charts progress in Communication, Relating to Others, Enterprise, Applied, Thinking and Emotional Intelligence. These skills are not limited to school or the workplace; they are life skills that can be called upon in multiple situations.
