PrimaryThe Royal Agricultural Society Education team has developed syllabus-linked units that are suitable for Early Stage 1 - Stage 3 students, with activities covering the KLAs of Human Society and its Environment, Science and Technology, English, Mathematics, and Creative Arts.
The pre and post-Show activity resources available include workshops, competitions and lesson outlines. All are designed to be flexible so you can browse through and use what’s best for your school and the children you teach.
SecondaryThe Sydney Royal Easter Show provides a perfect opportunity to motivate and capture the attention of secondary students through participation in unique experiences.
By entering one of the many Sydney Royal Competitions, your students will be challenged and engaged while they develop their understanding of the production of food and fibre along with the many other activities within the agricultural sector.

Drivers, bicycle riders and pedestrians all need to Go Together safely.
Drivers must give bicycle riders at least a metre of space
From 1 March 2016, drivers who pass a bicycle rider must allow a distance of at least:
• 1 metre when the speed limit is 60km/h or less
• 1.5 metres when the speed limit is more than 60km/h
Bicycle riders over 18 must carry photo ID
From 1 March 2016, all bicycle riders aged 18 and over must carry the required photo identification. Bicycle riders will have 12 months to adjust to the new law.
Bicycle riders should provide pedestrians with a metre of space on shared paths
Bicycle riders are also encouraged to allow pedestrians a metre of space on shared paths, where possible.

A focus is given to the importance of gaining the support of the school staff and parent body. It provides all the information schools need to make a decision about participating in KidsMatter.

MindMatters is a mental health initiative for secondary schools that aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people.MindMatters provides school staff with blended professional learning that includes online resources, face-to-face events, webinars and support. All content has been informed by strong evidence in the area of school mental health and wellbeing for the entire school community – including students, families and school staff.
Principals Australia Institute provides professional learning events to help you get started and during implementation.
1 April – Briefing, Sydney CBD
The Leadership Briefing is intended for school leaders and school leadership teams. You will be introduced to the MindMatters framework and explore how it can support your secondary school to improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people. Please bring an electronic device to this event.
5 April - Getting Started, Sydney CBD
Getting Started is a highly interactive session where your school’s Action Team will learn how to use MindMatters online modules, facilitator guides and resources to lead whole school change to improve student mental health and wellbeing. Action Teams will identify the mental health and wellbeing outcomes they wish to achieve and develop an Implementation Plan to progress their work.

Early Stage 1 Resource UpdateJack’s FUNtastic Day storybook and supporting materials on active play have been developed to promote physical activity and reduce small screen recreation for children aged 3 - 6 years. These resources are for use in early childhood education and care services, Early Stage 1 primary schools and by families.
A hardcopy of the storybook is available for all NSW primary schools participating in the Live Life Well @ School program. Please contact your Live Life Well @ School buddy to receive reader pack of the storybook.
