SCHOOL UNIFORM

Welcome to North Sydney Demonstration School. At our school children are required to wear school

uniform.

Girl’s Summer Uniform: To be worn terms one and four:

Summer school dress or

Gold school T-shirt with blue culottes

Royal blue school socks

Black school shoes

School sun hat

Royal blue cotton jumper or zip front cotton jacket

Yellow or royal blue hair bands / ribbons.

Girls are not to wear dresses with black or coloured leggings.

Girl’s Winter Uniform, To be worn terms two and three:

Gold T-shirt with school emblem either long or short sleeves

Worn with either:

Winter royal blue school tunic or Girl’s bootleg pants

Royal blue tights or royal blue socks

Royal blue polar fleece jumper or cotton jumper/jacket

School sun hat

Black school shoes

Royal blue winter jacket

Yellow or royal blue hair bands / ribbons.

Girls are not to wear dresses with black or coloured leggings.

Note: Girls may wear culottes or tracksuit pants on sports day with gold

T-shirt and sport shoes.

Boy’s Uniform (All year) Gold T-shirt with school emblem Royal blue shorts or long royal blue trousers Royal blue school socks Black shoes School sunhat Royal blue polar fleece jumper, jacket or sweatshirt with school emblem. Royal blue winter jacket Note: On sports day boys may wear royal blue sports shorts, gold T-shirt and sport shoes.

The Uniform Shop

The uniform shop is run by the Parents and Citizens Association and is managed by

Nalini Chelliah. Nalini has parent volunteers who help out with sales and fittings. It stocks

the full range of school uniforms and also has second-hand items for sale. The shop is

located on the first level of the Pacific Building at the top of the stairs at the south end. To purchase your uniforms, you can either visit the shop, or if you are sure about your sizes, it is now possible to order online by going to www.munchmonitor.com.au . You can also order via email or by filling in the form which is in this booklet (also available to download from the school website). Lost Property

Occasionally children drop their clothes, hats and lunchboxes etc. These items are then taken to lost property, which is located at the entry to the uniform shop. Volunteers sometimes sort through these items and if clearly labelled, your things may be returned to your child’s class. It is always a good idea to check lost property a couple of times as things sometimes go home accidently with the wrong child. To ensure they are returned to you, please label all items clearly with your child’s name and class. One way to label your clothes, lunch boxes etc is to order Bright Star Kids Labels. The parent body has determined that school uniform should be worn in accordance with the Fair Discipline code. Children who consistently neglect to wear school uniform will receive a note

requesting an explanation from their parents.
