Skills development & Training There are many sports in which members can take part such as football, rugby, net-ball, hockey, indigenous games, tug of war and many more. Sports are a great way to meet other members. The competition is open to a mixture of ages. Some sports have some age categories. Always remem-ber the aim of the game is to enjoy and hav-ing fun! School Young Farmers Club will be also involved in Environmental, nature conser-vation and or sustainable food garden pro-jects or activities. These are usually based on local ideas aimed at improving the local environment or helping the community, all being eligible for local and National awards. Projects are hard work, but every-one has plenty of fun and gains a sense of belonging, ownership and achievement. Entertainments Every year each club has the opportunity to perform drama, environmental greening sports, awareness, festival, competition, award ceremonies, farmer to farmer events, educational tour, or an entertainments production, this involves the whole club from acting and performing to designing§ and building the props and scenery. These events are al-ways full of FUN and raise thousands of Rands each year for worthwhile causes! Training As members of School Young Farmers club will be attending and participating in various activities, camping, workshops, short course, seminars, educa- tional tours, team building. Most of weekends will full of outdoor activities and various exercises. There are also some possibilities of travelling over-seas for workshops, confer-ences or seminars. What is School Young Farmers Club is about?School Young Farmers Club (SYFC) is Green Africa Foundation programme which involves young people especially learners and students ranging from the age of 5 and 18 years. School Young Farmers club was established for the purpose of encouraging, motivating and em-powering young people through sustainable food gardening, environmental greening, sports, community volunteering, and a full social programme.

School Young Farmers Club offers young people so much more than just a social life. By joining School Young Farmers Club you opens doors to a world of opportunity where you can meet new people, learn skills, help the community, travel abroad, compete in many competitions from local to national level, and of course the opportunity to have a great time doing it all!

The other key attribute of School Young Farmers Club is that the members of club are the ones who run most of activities as part of empowering to their full potential. This will provide young people with confidence to do anything beneficial to them and the society. Learners will have fun and at the same time learning about the importance things in life.
