Together we have created the research environment for China to develop its energy and infrastructure in a sustainable manner that has allowed the economy to flourish. In turn we in the UK have been able to establish lasting academic partnerships and business opportunities founded in the sharing of technological innovation, knowledge and expertise. Dr. Alicia Greated, Director of Research Councils UK (RCUK) China: The Science Bridge forum 'was excellent, extremely well organised and the turnout was great. ' Prof. JiJun Xing, Deputy Director of General of CSTEC from Ministry of Science and Technology of China: Science Bridge projects „have made many remarkable achievements, 'the forum has covered broad spectrum of elements, showing the fruitful collaborative outcomes, and further demonstrating that the Science Bridge is the highlight of the UK-China Science and Technology collaborations in recent years. It all relies on the hard work of all science bridge partners Prof. Zhaotian Zhang, Deputy Director of Department of Information Sciences from National Natural Science Foundation of China: During the last three years, by the scientific research workers joint efforts, “Science Bridge” has established several joint laboratories, research centers and joint experiment platforms; held many international conferences and forums; published more than three hundred papers and completed more than ten joint projects. China State Councillor Madame Liu Yandong visited QUB, Chinese ambassador highly commended Science Bridge at Queen’s UK-China Science Bridge Forum, Shangh ai Jiao Tong University, Chin a, 12 Sept 2012 Joint project on Autonomous Wheelchair exhibited in 2010 Shanghai EXPO which attracted over 70 Million peopled worldwide Queen’s technology has been used in 36Km Hangzhou Bay Sea-Crossing Bridge and Bird Nest for monitoring construction health Joint project won Science and Technology Progress Award by Shanghai Municipal Government
