Backyard Science is a fun and educational series for children aged 6-12 years. Ripping science out of the laboratory and taking it to the real world, this is science for kids BY kids.

In this ongoing series that proves science really is fun, each program shows young kids demonstrating easy, practical and cool activities that anyone can do. At the end of each segment children have a better understanding of the world around them and some fun experiments to try themselves - not to mention a thirst to know more.

Backyard Science features two teens hosting from a “virtual studio” and is easily versioned for any territory by replacement with local hosts if desired. All activities are performed by inquisitive 8-12 year old presenters from a range of nationalities and their narration is designed to aid foreign language presentation. Backyard Science also features short lively animation sequences, as well as fun graphics and images to explain the more detailed ideas.

For children who are always asking “how?” and “why?” Backyard Science explains how the world works in an entertaining way. The topics covered are varied and demystify some of the amazing phenomena everyone encounters in daily life all over the globe.
