    /ommunication blac2outs ? yep you guessed it ? communication systems 2noc2edout.

t is a total lac2 of radio communications capability, caused by ionosphericanomalies, for e6ample, during strong auroral activity or during re-entry of aspacecraft into the #arth@s atmosphere.

/ommunication blac2outs are common in space e6ploration. 0owever, in mannedspace e6plorations, blac2outs means no communication between the spacecraft andthe control center in the #arth. t usually lasts only for a few minutes.

*eentry blac2outs are caused by an envelope of ionied air around the craft, created by the heat from the compression of the atmosphere by the craft. %he ioniedair interferes with radio signals.
