DESCRIPTION

This is a review game Powerpoint presentation which is one small part of a large Science Skills Unit that can be downloaded at http://sciencepowerpoint.com/index.html This video is one part of a Science unit for students in grades 5-10. Each few seconds represents one slide on the actual Powerpoint Presentation. The entire unit covers Lab Safety and Magnification, Metric System, Other Unit and Measurements, Scientific Method, and much more. This unit includes an interactive and engaging Powerpoint Presentation of over a 1200+ slides with built in class notes (Red Slides), lab activities, project ideas, discussion questions, assessments (Quiz Wiz), challenge questions with answers, links to great educational websites, videos, and much more. Text is in large print (32 font) and is placed at the top of each slide so it can seen and read from all angles of a classroom. A shade technique and color coding of text helps increase student focus, and allows teacher to control pace of the lesson. Also included is a 10 page assessment / bundled homework that chronologically follows the slideshow, as well as a 10 page modified assessment, and 14 pages of class notes with images are also included for students who could benefit from them. Answers keys to the bundled homework and activities are provided for support professionals, teachers, and home school parents. 4 video shorts (FLV files) are provided and a slide within the slideshow cues teacher / parent when the videos are most relevant to play. Video shorts usually range from 2-7 minutes and are included in organized folders. Two Powerpoint review games are included. Answers to the Powerpoint review games are provided in Powerpoint form so students can self-assess. Lastly, several class games such as guess the hidden picture beneath the boxes, and the find the hidden owl somewhere within the slideshow are provided.
