International System of Units (SI)

1967: The name kelvin, symbol K, was adopted instead of “degree Kelvin”, symbol °K, and defined as “the fraction 1/273,16 of the thermodynamic temperature of the triple point of water”.

1954: The thermodynamic temperature scale was defined choosing the triple point of water as the fundamental fixed point, and assigning to it the temperature 273,16 degrees Kelvin, exactly.

1960: The name Système International d’Unités, with the abbreviation SI, was given to the system of units.

With This window we can:

- convert thermocouple emf to Temperature and vice-versa;

- plot thermocouple curves

With this window we can evaluate the temperature from:

- a photocurrent signal of the thermometer detector;

- responsivity spectral data

- reference signal and reference temperature etc.
