Library Mission Statement

Mission Statement: To provide outstanding library services for the MGS community, aligned with the MGS vision, purpose and values.

The purpose of the school library is to:

1. Support and enhance the curriculum, teaching and learning at MGS by providing a welcoming, flexible learning environment for the MGS school community.

2. Encourage and foster in students a love of learning and life-long learning skills.

3. Nurture, inspire and stimulate the vital importance of reading for pleasure and for information.

4. Collaborate with teachers to develop student research skills appropriate for various age levels and subjects.

5. Provide excellent, state-of-the-art information technology facilities and resources; a technology-rich learning environment and electronic gateway to the world.
