A Low Carbon FutureFunded by the Ayrshire Growth Deal, the National Energy Research Demonstrator, is an innovative and forward thinking project which will set a ground breaking precedent for the way in which we heat and power our homes and meet the energy demands of our communities. Using environmentally friendly technology to provide sustainable and reliable energy at affordable prices, it aims to address climate change and fuel poverty.

Reaping Green RewardsHDDT purchased a farm and wind turbine and are now reaping the rewards. They have purchased and areconverting the former RBS into a co-working space; and a three-storey town centre building into a mixed-use space; for retail, test-trading spaces, heritage centre, café, social enterprise book store, visitor information centre, exhibition space, a cinema/lecture theatre, community events space and some office accommodation.

Offering space, enterprise coaching, information and advice, hot-desks and training facilities, remote access training and events, outreach services, contact centre, community rooms and office staff.
