Personal Profile:As you can see from my employment history I have worked in warehouse roles for the majority of my time since leaving school, however, learning of impending redundancies last year I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to retrain and increase my future career prospects so I completed the STCW95 course. Having completed the course I secured a short term contract as a deckhand and although a real “learning curve” I know this is the career path I would like to continue with.I consider myself to be hardworking, reliable and an efficient worker. I am a good timekeeper and I take a responsible attitude towards my work at all times and understand the pressures and timescales that a fast moving business requires. I am capable of using my own initiative as well as working as part of a team and I would be willing to take any necessary training to promote my career prospects.
