Romteck produce and supply fire and hazard systems, and environmental instruments to mining/oil and gas companies and government facilities(railways/airports/etc.) within Australia and internationally.

Duties Coordinator of Production/Test Department (staff of 10). Detailed planning of current orders and future projects, providing advice and options to

Project Coordinator. Purchasing complete itineraries of parts (BOMs) for new products and planning lead-times

(100 purchase orders per week; orders range from $50 - $150,000). Requesting quotes and undertaking negotiations with suppliers ensuring Romteck's value for

money on all purchases. Managing quality control to improve production output and quality. Purchasing parts for repaired products and procuring hard to source parts for dated units. Provide logistical support to engineers including purchasing requests.

Stock control including management of yearly stocktake. Responsible for receiving incoming goods. Coordinate the testing and completion of new products ready for dispatch. Manage supplier & manufacturer non-disclosure contracts.

Key Achievements Reviewed and changed the manufacturer of Romteck’s biggest selling product, saving more

than $60,000 for every 500 units made. Successfully managed the relocation of the Production Building with minimal interruption to

operations. Implemented 'Basic BOMs' reducing production times. Introduced serial numbers with barcodes to individual products to streamline inventory

control, resulting in greater efficiency. Implemented and maintained improvements to the Purchasing Database in conjunction with

senior engineers and the IT department.

Serco manages Acacia Prison for the Department of Corrective Services.

Duties Developed and implemented initiatives that increased the efficiency of the store/warehouse

at Acacia Prison; a medium level security facility. Responsible for the safe delivery of incoming and outgoing transfers of goods, with particular

attention to identification of any contraband and security of prisoners. Acted as Purchasing Officer for both provision of prison necessities and prisoner purchases. Responsible for the distribution of goods to the blocks and other units within the prison. Supervision of 20 “employed” prisoners within the warehouse. Management of daily, weekly and monthly stocktake.

Key Achievements Developed and updated (quarterly) the prisoner purchase catalogue.
