Scottish design engineer John Swan founded his metal fabrication business in 1977. Driven by concern for the environment his interest centred on Grease Trap, Canopy and Air Filtration technology. Based in Loanhead near Edinburgh and employing local, skilled craftsmen, from it’s original small beginnings, Swan Enviro Limited has continued to grow and is now part of a European group committed to developing products designed to protect the environment.

Swan Enviro’s range of products, manufactured almost entirely from stainless steel, is dedicated to meeting the needs of professional catering establishments including commercial kitchens and food preparation premises. Specifically designed to help maintain clean air and water the range comprises Grease Traps, Grease Management Systems, Kitchen Canopies, Air Extraction Systems, Fans and Air Filter Products.

To ensure ultimate performance from it’s products the company offers a free in-house design service tailored to meet customer specifications and deliver a bespoke installation.

Swan Enviro products have been successfully installed and used in a wide range of establishments throughout the United Kingdom from independent, single unit operations to larger commercial organisations such as Sainsbury’s Supermarkets, Dobbies Garden Centres and Leicester City Football Club. Swan Grease Traps are manufactured in a range of sizes from 5 litre to 200 litre capacity to suit requirements from single unit/domestic use to larger commercial and multi appliance applications. The addition of a Dosing System delivering a bio-active grease digester at timed intervals significantly breaks down grease further reducing the risk of blockages with minimal time spent on maintenance.

Swan Freshflo® Dosing Solution digests all the fats, oils and greases (F.O.G.’s) contained within the Grease Trap considerably reducing maintenance requirements as a result.

The Freshflo® solution is introduced into the Grease trap by the use of the automatic Swan Dosing Unit.

Swan Freshflo® solution is an eco-friendly mixture of naturally occurring cultures and non pathogenic bacteria. It is non flammable, bio-degradable and fully miscible in water so any spillages may be safely washed away.

Built to order, we pay close attention to detail so they will serve you longer and be easier to maintain. State of the art fan technology ensures high efficiency and low running costs.

Available in standard sizes or custom built to any design. Manufactured from stainless steel they come complete with a choice of filters to suit any application helping reduce the discharge of unwanted odours into the environment and aiding basic kitchen ventilation.

The Wall and Island canopies feature a built-in grease drain specifically designed to collect any waste grease. Built in lighting and fire protection systems can also be incorporated if required and our engineers will assist with the design and supply of any ducting and fans needed to complete the installation.

Swan Freshmesh® FiltersSwan Freshmesh® filters are custom made for each application and feature low maintenance, hygienic, easy clean frames. Your company name can be stamped on to the filter frame to increase your company profile.

The usually hidden part of any extraction systems is the fan and the duct work.

The selection of the correct fan and the design of the associated ducting is an essential part of the extraction system. Swan Enviro would always recommend the use of a high performance fan designed and built to exacting standards by leading manufacturers which will perform for long hours with minimum maintenance over many years. Available ex-stock, our full range includes sickle, tangential, radial, centrifugal and axial fans all designed for specific applications, all driven by low noise single or three phase motors.

Swan Enviro will help with the design of a ducting system appropriate for each installation.

Extensive stocks of standard ductwork lengths are readily available to meet emergency and planned maintenance needs.

Swan Enviro personnel can advise on the selection of the correct filter to provide a cost effective solution which ensures maximum performance and efficiency. Types available to suit customer requirements are: disposable, washable and baffle.
