TRANSCRIPT
For most kids, Scout Camp is all about fun and games.Whether rock climbing, swamping a canoe, learning to sail
or just connecting with nature, Scout Camp is plain “Siiiiiick!”
But for parents, Scout Camp means more. It’s fun with a purpose. One that goes beyond video gaming
and smart phones. One that teaches leadership skills and the values of the Scout Oath and Law. And one that helps your son reach his potential!
Camp Pico Blanco, for example, gets your son away from summer heat and into the pristine Big Sur Wilderness. Packed with plenty of action at the ranges
and waterfront, the camp boasts a new climbing facility. Help your son achieve new heights by extending his comfort zone.
Offering just as much fun, Camp Hi-Sierra helps your son advance towards Eagle Scout. Swimming, lifesaving, boating and sailing,
rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking. Even pottery and metalwork. Whatever he needs for his Eagle Scout award,
your son will find it at this world-class facility.
So let’s face it, Scout Camp is more than fun and games, it’s about guiding youth to discover and develop their hidden strengths.

Camp Pico Blanco offers all the great activities of a premier summer camp, but in a setting that’ll knock you out! Nestled on the south fork of the Little Sur River, Pico Blanco’s rugged wilderness beckons to those who love outdoor excitement.
Even better, the camp’s open year-round, so summer camp isn’t the only reason to visit!
At our Nature Preserve, Scouts work on merit badges relating to the natural world, such as Environmental Science, Soil and Water Conservation, Forestry, S.T.E.M. and many more. At our Sports Pavilion, Scouts participate in archery, rifle, shotgun, and pistol. They learn to focus on a target and to block out unwanted
distractions—truly a skill applicable to so many situations in life. For the creative Scout, our Handicraft Studio encourages creative development in art, photography, movie-making,
and more.
