Scrambles and Brambles 1 Easy 15 mins from Start
Evergreen cathedral?
As hard as part 1 gets
Cross a quiet private road – but watch for occasional cars. Turn Left. About 120 paces Turn Right by telegraph pole 8 For Scrambles and Brambles 2
Or continue straight ahead for another 120 paces to rejoin the Acorn trail Scrambles and Brambles 2 Hardest section allow 30 mins
Definitely overgrown
Climb over or climb through?
Who might live here?
Turn Left to rejoin the Acorn Trail at Acorn Post 2. Straight on for Scrambles and Brambles 3 10 mins steep but less prickly
Look for some Messy stones in the den (If you just want to use the Acorn Trail you could turn at post 2, visit the den then go straight back Easy less than 10 mins)
Steep climb then rejoin the Acorn Trail just before post 1 Follow the Acorn Trail as far as the road. There are two dens by post 20 and one den behind the picnic area

Just a few more scrambles Turn Right to rejoin the Acorn Trail near post 15 At post 14 turn Left by the pond then immediately Right to Brambles and Scrambles 6 Easy 10 mins
Quiet alternative picnic spot Then straight ahead at the end of the field
The path bears Left back to the Acorn Trail Visit the moat Another pond to see
Then it seems a long trek home
Hunt for Messy Stones. There is a different colour in each den. How many can you find? Times given are my best guess for walking with children but should be the maximum you will need. However much or little of the trails you explore: ENJOY
