Available in Sheets and Rolls - Cut to Customer Specifications:

Sheeting Capacity: 12" x 12" to 64" x 120"Slitting Capacity: 3" wide to 64" wide rolls - up to 40" Outside Diameter.

Minimum order for custom converting is 300,000 square inches or 450' full web.Custom coating runs require a 2,500' minimum order.

An additional fee of $70 may be added for oversized skids - skids over 60" x 60" (under 1,500 MSI).Topcoating is recommended for all conventional offset or flexo print applications.

General Formulations produces a line of “Topcoated” Products for improved ink bond. The topcoating process includes the application of a chemical coating, that was designed to improve the bond of conventional offset inks, and water based Flexo Inks to PVC / Vinyl films.

Standard or Non-Topcoated (NTC) vinyl films generally work well for UV cured print applications. NTC is recommended for Screen Print, Offset Print, Flexo Print, and Digital Print applications that are equipped with UV Curing capabilities. It should be noted that it is important for customers to test print using their specific ink system and curing equipment because not all UV Cured applications are the same.

Differences in UV lamps such as LED vs. Mercury Vapor, lamp intensity, ink chemistry, and film surface tension all play a significant part in ink bond.

13PRINTABILITY LEGEND Conventional OffsetCO

General Formulations produces a line of “Topcoated” Products for improved ink bond. The topcoating process includes the application of a chemical coating, that was designed to improve the bond of conventional offset inks, and water based Flexo Inks to PVC / Vinyl films.

Standard or Non-Topcoated (NTC) vinyl films generally work well for UV cured print applications. NTC is recommended for Screen Print, Offset Print, Flexo Print, and Digital Print applications that are equipped with UV Curing capabilities. It should be noted that it is important for customers to test print using their specific ink system and curing equipment because not all UV Cured applications are the same.

Differences in UV lamps such as LED vs. Mercury Vapor, lamp intensity, ink chemistry, and film surface tension all play a significant part in ink bond.

All other non-perforated vinyl products can be topcoated as a custom.

Popular Custom Constructions:In addition to our selection of stocked topcoated films, any standard non-topcoated vinyl film can be topcoated for either Conventional Offset or Narrow Format Digital Printing as a custom product.

Narrow Format Digital (NFD) products are also considered topcoated products as they require the application of a chemical coating. The topcoating is necessary because of the specific print method and different curing method that is required which is different than what is required for offset printing.

Custom adhesive coating is also available. We offer a wide range of film and adhesives to customize a product to meet your specific needs.

Minimum order quantity for custom coating is 2500'.
