What is screen sharing tools:

• Screen sharing is a tool to connect two computer devices or more with each other.

• The users of tool can manage which computer will be use by the other one.

The benefits of screen sharing tools:

1- Help family and friends with computer problems.

2- Monitor and configure servers from your desktop.

3- Shop with a friend.

1- Help family and friends with computer problems.• Fixe the problems in others computers by

using screen sharing tool. • Call the other user by phone to tell hem/her

to use the program in the specific time. • OR send an invention for the other user. • It don’t matter which user calls whom.

2- Monitor and configure servers from your desktop.

• Control the desktop in the home from outside or your computer at work place.

Bosco’s Screen Share™:• To use Bosco’s Screen Share you need:- computer running Mac OS X.- OR Windows NT/2000/XP.- Bosco’s Screen Share no longer supports

Mac OS 9 or Windows 98/ME.- 256 MB or more of RAM is strongly

recommended.- Both users need to have high speed internet.

1. Run Bosco’s Screen Share:

• Launch Bosco’s Screen Share. If you use Mac OS X, you should add its icon to your dock.

1. Run Bosco’s Screen Share:1a. The Welcome windowThe first time you start Bosco’s

Screen Share, you will be asked for your name and e-mail address. These are used when you connect to a friend’s computer so that they know it’s you connecting.

1. Run Bosco’s Screen Share:1b. The Interactive panel There is an interactive and web panel. -interactive panel: share the

screen between two computers.

-web panel: publish the screen for many people to see. The information in the bottom

are to help someone to call you.

1. Run Bosco’s Screen Share:1c. Expert modeChoose Expert Interface from the Edit menu. Expert mode makes the

window smaller and gives you just the controls you need to place and answer calls, take Bosco’s Screen Share off-hook, and get temporary privacy.

2. Simulate a call: Select Simulate Call from the File menu.You will be able to see your screen in small box

and have a view of how your screen looks to your friend and how fast your screen is updated in your friend computer..

2. Simulate a call:2a. Answering a call You will be asked to answer a call from

yourself. Click the answer button.

2. Simulate a call:2b. Ask to watch your friend’s screen.When you answer the call you will be able to

use each others screens. And you will use expert mood to watch your

friend screen.

to see each other screens. This step is to save the users privacy.

will not be able to see your screen.

3. Configure router/firewall When you start Bosco’s

Screen Share, it performs a test to see if you have a router present and if your router and firewall are configured correctly so that you can receive calls from your friend.

unsuccessful, you’ll see a message after about 10 seconds of testing.

you just have a little work to do to get set up and it only needs to be done once.

Only one of the two users need to do this step.

4. Invite your friend:If you successfully configured your router and firewall

(or did not have to), you can invite your friend to call you. OR your friend should invite you.

Choose Invite New Friend from the Favorites menu.

4. Invite your friend:4a. Send the invitation.Enter your friend’s name and e-mail address, and a new e-mail message to your friend from you will be created in your e-mail program. The message has all the information your friend will need to call you: a link she can click, address and port number and download instructions for Bosco’s Screen Share

5. Dialing a friend:5a. Clicking a link from an invitationIf you received an invitation from your friend, then you

will call her. If you have a decent e-mail program, you can click the screenshare link and you will be connected automatically
