The video begins with a close up of the girl singing fitting in to the tone of the music

It then goes on to a similar shot but gradually to a medium close up as the tone get less intimate

Then there are a series of 4 long shots of the girl getting out of bed, each day with a different outfit on to resemble how time is going by.

This is followed by another series of shots in four different outfits doing the same thing, eating cereal. This enhances the idea of time for the audience. The dog has stayed in the shot to show continuity.

Over the shoulder shot of her washing her face where you can see her reflection in the mirror. Then the camera cuts to a medium, long shot of the girl singing then back to exactly the same shot but with a different outfit on as it is a different day. The camera then cuts back to the singing girl.

The cuts here create a pattern and keep in with conventions of a professional music video

Here the camera cuts to a close-up of the girl Turing the shower on, cutting to a medium shot of her making tea then cutting back again to the singer and finally a medium long shot of the shower.

By cutting what she is doing with other stuff she is doing makes the process of time seem longer rather than if I was to place all the shower bits together. The cuts of making tea and back to the girl all fit in well with the pace of the video

The camera then focuses on the pouring of cereal in to a bowl it then goes back to the shower progression as we see her feet splashing in the shower, we then see a long shot of her in her towel going to get ready followed by a point of view shot of her looking for what to wear.

A range of different types of shots all focusing on different things she is doing helps create the sense of time. The point of view shot is of her looking in her wardrobe for clothes which is tedious and she is fed up of doing all these everyday things now as she waits around.

It then cuts to a close up of the girl singing with wet hair, cutting to a medium shot of her singing in the garden this is followed by a low angle shot of the girl going through her draws and the cutting to a medium shot of her making tea. Again in a different outfit to the one she was wearing here before.

The camera then jumps to her now opened wardrobe, to a close up of her singing, to a close up of her putting her stops on to an establishing pan of the sky and of a park where other people are having fun but she isn’t there.

Again the video does what it does throughout it doesn't continuingly show things it jumps to other things in between which really increases the sense of time and viewer interest. It does it with the opening of the wardrobe and with the putting on of socks.

The camera then cuts back to a medium shot of the singer then back to a close up of the sock. The music video then picks up even more pace and conventions with a series of four jump cuts the first is of the girl running away from the camera, the next is of the girl beginning to walk from a long shots view from the camera.

The next in the series of shots is an extreme long shot where the girl is barely visible, cutting to a medium long shot of walking and then to a medium shot of her singing a line of the song.

As the music changes tone again the zooming of the clock goes really well with the beat of the song.

The sequence of four is then repeated again but the shots are all backwards and in a slightly different order. Before jumping to the fourth cut the video jumps to the scenery shot .

Then back to the last backwards shot of the sequence. The video finishes off with a medium shot of the singer with her getting closer to the camera which really brings the video to a nice conclusion.
