FADE IN LONDON – NIGHT Establishing shot of London, including numerous famous landmarks, such as the London eye and Big Ben. JUMP CUT TO: In the heart if London, notorious English born gangster and mafia member Frankie Rodgers takes a casual stole through his hometown. Outfit: Formal three piece blue suit with a red tie. Begin non-diegetic voiceover of Frankie speaking over the scene, as well as low volume classical music in the background. Frankie: (Non-diegetic voiceover) “ When I was a little boy, my understanding of revenge was as simple as the Sunday school proverbs it hid behind. Neat little morality slogans, like 'Do unto others' and 'Two wrongs don't make a right.' But two wrongs can never make a right because two wrongs can never equal each other. For the truly wronged, real satisfaction can only be found in one of two places: absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness.” Freddie begins reflecting on his life as a gangster and previous experiences he has had experiencing this lifestyle. Frankie looks up at across river at the houses of parliament. Flashback ensues. JUMP CUT TO: Focus pull and transition into flash back. Victim is tied up with rope and sellotape over his mouth. Freddie with mask over his face, shouting at victim, intimidating him as he waves and points gun around.

JUMP CUT TO:

In the heart if London, notorious English born gangster and mafia member Frankie Rodgers takes a casual stole through his hometown.

Focus pull and transition into flash back. Victim is tied up with rope and sellotape over his mouth. Freddie with mask over his face, shouting at victim, intimidating him as he waves and points gun around.

Freddie:(Holding gun) “I told you what would happen! But you had to f**k with me didn’t you?” (Foul language censored).

Victim:(tied up and mouth taped, struggling to break free).

Transition back to London. Freddie continues to explore, gazing into expensive jewellery shop. Close up as he straightens tie, match on action: goes behind Freddie as he looks at watch, still keeping identity a secret. Freddie looks up at large building, transition into another flashback continues…

JUMP CUT TO:Freddie:

(Raising gun at victim and points it towards him. Non-diegetic voiceover) You see the problem is, no matter how good your intentions are, eventually you'll want to feel the rush of killing someone yourself. (Diegetic gunshot as Freddie shoots and kills victim)

Slow motion ensues as match on action, as well as POV shot/reverse shot are used to show Freddie and the victims perspective of the situation. Focus pull on gun from Freddie's POV, moving focus from victim to gun. Screen cuts to black as diegetic gunshot sound is heard.

Freddie continues to wonder around London in the dark. More shots of London. Transition into third and final flashback.

JUMP CUT TO:

Close up of Freddie dragging now deceased victim across the floor.

Freddie:(Non-diegetic voiceover) It's cleaning up after your own mess that's always the problem.

Camera follows Freddie, now going directly behind him. Camera pans 180° to Freddie's feet. Camera now goes up Freddie's body until his face is finally revealed. Showing the whole of Freddie's expensive outfit. Freddie's true identity is revealed for the first time.

Freddie:(Diegetic dialogue) My name is Frankie Rodgers, and this is my story.

FADES TO BLACK.
