EXT.BLANK SCREEN
REPORTER (VOICE OVER)
The tragic deaths of several members of
the Bloom family has sparked rage within
the small community of Everdeen . Though
not the first family to suffer this fate
let us hope it's the last. The twins are
the only ones left. ELIZA and IVY Bloom
were so close before-
FADE OUT
EXT. DAY. STREET.
FADE IN
IVY, an eccentrically dressed woman with brown hair of average
height, walks past ELIZA's (IVY'S twin) house shaking a tub of
pills.
INT. DAY. THE BLOOM HOUSEHOLD.
ELIZA, a professional woman with brown hair of average height,
is inside the house also shaking a tub of pills creating a
synchronous rhythmic sound to clash with the music in the
background.
TITLE: FRACTURE
ELIZA stands in front of a mirror dressed in smart casual
clothing, she turns to the left. ELIZA looks down at her wrist
showing her watch.
FLASHBACK TO:
INT. DAY. THE BLOOM HOUSEHOLD.
IVY stands in front of the mirror laughing and smiling at her
appearance. She wears casual clothes and leaves quickly when she
hears rustling noise in the house.
PRESENT
ELIZA looks on the ground at a loose pair of handcuffs, then at a
clear glistening knife nearby, her eyes go to family photos then
back to the knife and looks down at the floor.
Radio turns on.
Comment [A1]: Not many people live around this area.
Comment [A2]: Eliza and Ivy are twins
Comment [A3]: Ivy often breaks the laws and cares more about her appearance and therefore is dressed is dressed informally. She wears a blue t-shirt with angels on it.
Comment [A4]: The pills play an important role in our film as it prevents her from getting ill.
Comment [A5]: Eliza cares about her job and therefore is dressed formally she wears a white formal t-shirt with black trousers and black shoes.
Comment [A6]: Eliza is an independent lady and has her own house.
Comment [A7]: Eliza smart casual clothes
Comment [A8]: Ivy is very different compared to her sister, Eliza. Ivy is laughing at Eliza which implies she’s unsupportive of her sisters decisions.
Comment [A9]: Eliza is very confused and uncertain of what is happening. She finds a loose pair of handcuffs on the ground.
REPORTER (VOICE OVER)
The murderous serial killer responsible
for the deaths of many is yet to be found.
Who will they strike next? Should we be
losing faith in our police?
ELIZA stares down at the knife that is in her hand confused.
The sound of the pills shaking starts again and she drops the
knife causing a clanging sound to fill the space. She picks up
the knife places it back where it was and leaves the house.
The shaking pills stops.
ELIZA runs her hands through her hair and leaves.
EXT. DAY. STREET.
ELIZA makes her way to work passing the graveyard on the way
there, her eyes drift to the gravestones lingering on one longer
than the others, she shakes her head and continues walking.
ELIZA walks up to the police station as MASON walks out. He is a
dark haired tall police detective, her colleague. They are having
an inaudible conversation as the pill shaking grows louder. ELIZA
looks behind her feeling eyes on her.
IVY watches from the distance resting on a tree. She pours some
pills onto the floor and walks away leaving them in the grass.
ELIZA leaves MASON with a quick goodbye and walks away clasping
her hands together.
On her street again she looks around before entering her house
again.
Comment [A10]: She’s confused on what is happening.
Comment [A11]: She doesn’t know what to do, and places the knife back and walks away casually.
Comment [A12]: Eliza’s parents were barried in the graveyard and whenever she walks past the graveyard she always remembers them.
Comment [A13]: Eliza’s workplace
Comment [A14]: Mason is Eliza’s friend he wears a black suit and is a police detective.
