By DON STANTON

Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of

the Purpose of God for His people.

The key to these messages is Colossians 1:27.

“MESSIAH IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY.”

These messages are for believers who are not content with a mediocre, routine type of

Christian existence. They expose the folly of self-centeredness.

The messages are for believers who want to know what the purpose of God is; and

what the “Hope of Glory’ is. They are for all who long to participate deeper in the life

of the Messiah, and to reach towards the ultimate fulfilment, right here and now.

Ultimate perfection will never be attained here on earth; it will be in Heaven. True! But

it is a tragedy for a believer to sink into a careless state of mind that accepts selfish living

as the normal type of Christian life.

We are told to press on, as the apostle Paul says:

“Not that I have already attained this, or have already been perfected, but I press on so

that I may take hold of that for which the Messiah, Y'shua took hold of me.” (Philippians 3:12)

The majority of believers, it seems, are living oblivious to the deeper purposes of God, and are missing out on the joy, peace and fullness that is in the Messiah, Y’shua.

Please pray that the Father will open up your heart and mind to the truths He has revealed in His Word, and that you will be enabled to enter a deeper level of

understanding and experience of His purposes, as we go through these three chapters.

“The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in union with

the Messiah, Y'shua, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

To Him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 5:10-11)

“To the end that we who were the first to hope in the Messiah may live for the

Praise of His Glory.” (Ephesians 1:12)

There are times when many people stop, and ask questions, such as ...

“IS THERE A HIGHER PURPOSE FOR EACH ONE OF US?”

“WHAT IS THE PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE?”

Page 3: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

The natural man is basically self-centred; and his main goal is “to enjoy myself and to

get benefit.” “For me, for me, for me, or, for me and my family and my friends.”

THE FALSE CENTRE IS SELF- CENTREDNESS

When SELF is the centre of my existence,

everything revolves around me. I view

everything as it relates to ME.

God may be there, but He is on the outer ring of my experience.

To realize the higher purpose for our lives,

we must not start with ourselves; we must

start with God.

“For from Him and through Him and to

Him are all things. To Him be the glory for

ever!” (Romans 11:36)

CHRIST MUST BE OUR CENTRE

For “He died for all, that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him

who died for them and rose again on their behalf.” (2 Corinthians 5:15)

THE TRUE CENTRE IS CHRIST-CENTRED

In the church Christ is the Head of all.

“He (the Messiah) is the Head of the body …

so that He Himself might come to have first

place in everything.” (Colossians 1:18)

“God exalted Him to the highest place, and

gave Him the Name that is above every name,

that at the Name of Y'shua every knee should

bow – in heaven and on earth and under the

earth - and every tongue confess that Y'shua

the Messiah is Lord (the Eternal Heavenly

Master), to the glory of YHWH, God the

Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)

WHY WERE WE CREATED?

“… everyone who is called by My Name whom I have created for My glory, whom I

have formed, yes, whom I have made ... these I have formed for Myself; they will declare My praise.” (Isaiah 43: 7, 21)

“SO THAT WE WOULD BE, AND LIVE, TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY”

(Ephesians 1:12)

GOD HAS AN ETERNAL PURPOSE FOR HIMSELF

YAHWEH IS THE ETERNAL ONE,

MANIFEST AS 3-IN-1 --

THE FATHER, THE SON & THE HOLY SPIRIT.

THE FATHER PLANNED A VAST FAMILY

- FOR HIMSELF

His heart delights to beget sons in His own Image, and to conform them, each one, to

the likeness of the Eternal Son.

“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His

Son, that He might be the first-born (the unique and pre-eminent one) among many

brethren.” (Romans 8:29)

THE FATHER PLANNED A VAST BODY - A BRIDE

- FOR THE SON

“Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me might be with Me where I am, so

that they may see My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24)

“The Messiah loved the Church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of water with the Word, and so that

He might present the Church to Himself, a glorious Bride, without spot or wrinkle or any

such thing - but that she should be holy and without blemish.” (Ephesians 5:25-27)

The Bride is made up of the millions of born again believers

that He has purchased with His precious blood. Together they are one Bride.

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come

and His Bride has prepared herself.” (Revelation 19:7)

THE FATHER PLANNED A VAST TEMPLE

FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO DWELL IN

“You … having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and

prophets, the Messiah, Y'shua Himself being the chief cornerstone, in

whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy

Page 5: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

5

Dwelling Place (a temple) in YHWH the LORD; in whom you also are being built together

into a Dwelling Place of God by the Holy Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:20-22)

THE ULTIMATE GOAL:

YAHWEH, THE ETERNAL ONE, planned that mankind should become his children, his companion, and his temple - a family ultimately, and totally,

sanctified and glorified.

“So that we would be to the praise of His Glory.”

(EPHESIANS :12)

ALL THINGS ARE TO BE

SUMMED UP IN Y’SHUA THE MESSIAH

“In all wisdom and understanding He made known to us the mystery of His will,

according to His kind intention which He purposed beforehand in Himself - a plan for the

period when the age has reached its fullness; a plan to sum up all things in the Messiah.”

(Ephesians 1:8-10)

ONE MAJOR RESULT OF GOD’S COMPLETED PLAN:

The multi-faceted wisdom of God will be displayed in and through

the glorified body (the Bride) of Christ.

“The plan and purpose of the mystery from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in

God, who created all things through the Messiah, Y'shua. His purpose is that now,

through the Church – (the universal body of those who are in Y'shua), the manifold wisdom

of God might be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities in the heavenly

places. This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Y'shua the Messiah, our Master.” (Ephesians 3:9-11)

CHILD OF GOD,

YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY

“And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

eternal glory in union with the Messiah, Y'shua, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen

and establish you. To Him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter

5:10-11)

“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if

children, heirs also, truly heirs of God, and co-heirs with the Messiah, if indeed we suffer

with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with

the glory that is to be revealed in us. For the intense longing of the creation eagerly

waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:16-19)

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also eagerly wait for a Saviour, the Master, Y'shua the Anointed, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything

into subjection to Himself, will transform our lowly body into conformity with the

body of His glory.” (Philippians 3:20-21)

The chart illustrates the Plan of God from Creation through to the fulfilment of God’s

plan. That purpose was that man should proceed from A to Z. But at point B there was a test, and tragically man failed, and fell into sin, and a state of separation and

death - C.

God could have discarded man at that moment! But NO! God has a goal. And He

incorporated into His plan, a RECOVERY PROVISION – redemption through the

sacrifice of His incarnate Son on the cross of Calvary. C to D. The recovery mechanism

is the one and only way back to life and fellowship with God, and His ultimate goal.

This recovery brings about new life in the one who avails of the recovery plan, by calling

on the Name of the Lord to be saved.

And “there is no distinction between Jew and Greek (Gentile); for the same Master, the Master of all, is rich to all who call upon Him, for WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON

THE NAME OF the LORD, YHWH-Y'SHUA, WILL BE SAVED.” (Romans 10:12-13)

At point D the repentant believer is born again and becomes a CHILD OF GOD. He

(or she) is now restored to the way of the eternal purpose of God, and he has destiny in and with the Heavenly Master.

From D to Z is the Way of Realisation as the child progresses towards (SONSHIP –

Maturity in Relationship to God by many lessons and experiences), and to HEIRSHIP (Conformity to the Master’s Mind and Purpose).

“You are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then also an heir of God through the

Messiah.” (Galatians 4:7)

And then he goes on to THRONESHIP (understanding our position and authority in

Christ, and learning to reign with Him).

“If we endure, we will also reign together with Him.” (2 Timothy 2:12)

C

Page 7: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

7

And ultimately we reach the final goal – GLORIFICATION (sharing the glorious life of the Eternal One).

“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if

children, heirs also, truly heirs of God, and co-heirs with the Messiah, if indeed we suffer

with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.” (Romans 8:17)

THE WAY OF REALIZATION IS ALSO CALLED

THE WAY OF THE CROSS

The Way involves ...

SANCTIFICATION (set apart for the Master’s use),

SELF-DENIAL (rejecting selfish desires),

SURRENDER (yielding to God as a living sacrifice).

SUFFERING (enduring trials with trust in the Lord),

SERVING (the Master as a way of life).

WALKING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT (Spirit-motivated and enabled).

LEARNING TO SHARE IN GOD’S HOLINESS, LIFE AND GOALS

“In bringing many sons to glory, it was most appropriate that God, for whom and

through whom everything exists, should make the Author of their salvation perfect

through suffering. For both He who sanctifies, (sets His people apart and makes them holy),

and those who are being sanctified, are all from one Father; that is why He is not

ashamed to call them brethren.” (Hebrews 2:10-11)

WE ARE CALLED TO EMBRACE …

THE CROSS PRINCIPLE

“Y’shua was saying to them all, 'If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny

himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)

Taking up the cross is not the same as “putting up with your woes and difficulties.” It is

a principle of constantly dying to my own will and life. It is a dying to the sinful and

selfish desires that beset me. It means no to self, and yes to my Master - a constant

surrender of my life to Y’shua. The Master said:

“I am telling you the truth; unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground

and dies, it remains alone - all by itself. But if it dies, it bears much

fruit.” (John 12:24) Y’shua also prayed: “Not My will, but Your

will be done.” (Luke 22:42)

“He poured out His soul unto death.” (Isaiah 53:12)

Paul could say: “I die daily.” (1 Corinthians 15:31)

Page 8: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

8

“I have been crucified with the Messiah; and I no longer live, but it is the Messiah who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God

who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

While we insist on having our own way in the details of our lives, we will be living an

un-crucified, and spiritually mediocre (inferior), life. The Master wants us to be filled and led by His Holy Spirit.

Well, the Spirit-led life is progressive. It does not all happen at once. That is why we

need keep our eyes on the Master, and to press on.

WE ARE CALLED TO MATURITY

“And He gave and placed some members as apostles, some as prophets, some as

evangelists, and some as shepherd-pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the set-

apart believers, for the work of service, for the building up of the body of Messiah; until

we all come to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-

grown, mature, perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Messiah. ...

“This is so that we should no longer be children, tossed here and

there and carried about by every wind of teaching, by the trickery

of men, and their subtle scheming to lead people astray. But

speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into

Him, who is the Head - the Messiah.”

(Ephesians 4:11-15)

OUR HEIRSHIP WITH THE MESSIAH

There is a tremendous amount of inheritance, assets, privileges, spiritual provisions and a whole portfolio of blessings prepared for believers, not only for the future, but to

experience right here and now.

Much of this inheritance is presented as a mystery. But it is a mystery that has been

revealed, and we are encouraged to understand this wealth, this portfolio now, and to prepare for our ultimate destiny. Read carefully, every word of this teaching by the apostle Paul.

Ephesians 1:3-6.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Master, Y'shua the Messiah, who has blessed us

with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in the Messiah, just as He chose us

in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before

Him, in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons through Y'shua the Messiah to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His

grace, with which He favoured us and made us accepted in the Beloved. …

Ephesians 1: 9-14

“He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which

He purposed beforehand in Himself - a plan for the period when the age has reached its

fullness; a plan to sum up all things in the Messiah - to bring everything under the headship

of Messiah - everything in heaven and on earth.

“In Him we also obtained an inheritance (and at the same time we were made His heritage) - having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in

Page 9: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

9

conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to put

confident trust in the Messiah might be for the praise of His glory.

“In Him you also trusted after hearing the message of the truth, the gospel of your

salvation; in Him you were also stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit,

who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the full redemption of those who are God's

purchased possession - to the praise of His glory.”

Ephesians 3:8-12

Paul says: “To me, the very least of all God’s set-apart people, this

grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of

the Messiah, and to bring to light what is the administration – the plan

and purpose, and the working out of the mystery which from the beginning of the ages has

been hidden in God, who created all things through the Messiah, Y'shua.

“His purpose is that now, through the Church – the Ekklesia, the universal body of those

who are in Y'shua the Messiah, the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the

angelic rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was in accordance with the

eternal purpose which He carried out in Y'shua the Messiah, our Master, through whom we have boldness and confident access to God through faith in Him.”

The privilege of access to God is very much a part of our blessed inheritance.

OUR POSITION AND AUTHORITY

When a person becomes a child of God, he receives a spiritual position – a status.

As a born again believer, he receives the status/position of Justification, and

Sanctification (being set apart). He is placed “in Christ” and becomes a member of

Christ’s Body – His Bride.

The believer also receives the Holy Spirit, and becomes a Temple of God. Further, he is

“seated in Heavenly Places” in Christ. This is his spiritual position in virtue of being “in Christ,” for Y’shua is there on the Throne in Heaven, and we are positioned in Him.

Look first at ...

CHRIST’S PRESENT POSITION:

AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER IN HEAVEN

- THE PLACE OF AUTHORITY

“I pray that the God of our Master, Y'shua the Messiah, the Father of Glory, may give

you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in coming to a full knowledge of Him; that the eyes

of your understanding may be enlightened, so that you know what is the hope of His

calling, and what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (the set-apart

people of God); and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who are

believing.

“These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength which He exerted in

the Messiah, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in

the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and

every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.

Page 10: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

10

“And He put all things under His feet, and made Him the Head over all things to the

Ekklesia, the church - the universal assembly of believers who are in Y'shua - which is His

body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Ephesians 1:18-23)

OUR POSITION “IN CHRIST”

- THE PLACE OF AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN

“God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when

we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with the Messiah - by grace you

have been saved - and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly

realms in Messiah Y'shua, that in the ages to come He might show the immeasurable

riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Messiah Y'shua.” (Ephesians 2:4-7)

That is our position, dear believer, and we need to grow in understanding and

experience, and to participate in, and exercise the authority imparted to us in the spiritual battles we face here on earth.

PAUL PRAYS FOR THIS REALITY

IN EVERY BELIEVER’S LIFE

Ephesians 3:16-19 (Amplified)

“I pray that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through

His Spirit in your inner being, so that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith in Him. And I pray that you will be rooted and established in love, so that together

with all the saints (the holy ones, believers), you may be able to comprehend what is the

width, length, height and depth of the Messiah's love – and to know this love which

surpasses knowledge, so that you may become a body wholly filled and flooded with

God Himself.”

THE ULTIMATE RESULT

- GGGLLLOOORRRIII FFF III CCC AAATTT III OOONNN

“And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will

never fade away.” (1 Peter 5:4)

“When the Messiah, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with

Him in glory.” (Colossians 3:4)

“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if

children, heirs also, truly heirs of God, and co-heirs with the Messiah, if indeed we

suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him. For I consider that the

sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be

revealed in us.” (Rom. 8:16-18)

2. THE SH’KHINAH -

THE MANIFEST PRESENCE OF

THE GLORY OF GOD

Sh’khinah comes from two Hebrew words -

shakhen / shekhan - “to dwell” - “to tabernacle.”

“The glorious riches of this mystery, which is

MESSIAH IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY.”

(Colossians 1:27)

(“Hope” in Scripture means - a foretaste, earnest, down-payment, guarantee, and

assured expectation).

And here is the glorious truth …

Page 12: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

12

Y’SHUA THE MESSIAH IS THE SH’KHINAH -

THE MANIFESTATON OF THE GLORY OF GOD

(GLORY = Heb. kavod. Gk. Doxa)

“In the past, God, YHWH El Shaddai, spoke in many and various ways to our forefathers

through the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He

appointed heir of all things, and through whom also He made the ages and the universe.

The Son being the radiance of God's Glory and the exact representation of His very

being and nature, upholds all things by His powerful word.” (Hebrews 1:1-3)

“We see Y'shua, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, now crowned

with glory and honour because He suffered death – so that by the grace of God that is

working for our salvation, He might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons to

glory, it was most appropriate that God, for whom and through whom everything exists,

should make the Author of their salvation perfect through suffering.” (Hebrews 2:9-10)

Look at some of the …

SH’KHINAH MANIFESTATIONS

IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

The Sh’khinah appeared in light, fire, cloud, and as the Angel of the LORD in the burning bush.

“The Angel of YHWH appeared to him (Moses) in flames of fire from the midst of a

bush; and he looked, and saw the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not

consumed.” (Exodus 3:2)

“YHWH went before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in

a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.” (Exodus 13:21)

At Mount Sinai – the Lord descended in fire.

“Now Mount Sinai was all in smoke because YHWH descended upon it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked violently.” (Exodus 19:18)

“The Glory of YHWH appeared in the cloud.” (Exodus.16:10)

“Then the Glory of YHWH appeared to them.” (Numbers 20:6)

“When the congregation had assembled against Moses and Aaron, they turned toward

the Tent of Meeting, and there and then the Cloud covered it and the Glory of YHWH

appeared.” (Numbers 16:42)

“Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the Glory of YHWH filled the

Tabernacle. (Exodus 40:34)

IN THE TABERNACLE -

ABOVE THE ARK OF THE COVENANT

“You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the

Testimony ... I will meet with you there, and from above the Mercy Seat, from

Page 13: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

between the two cherubim which are upon the Ark of the Testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel.” (Exodus

25:21-22)

THE SH'KHINAH IN THE HOLY OF HOLIES

IN SOLOMON’S TEMPLE

2 Chronicles 7:1-3

“Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed

the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the Glory of YHWH filled the House. The

priest could not enter the house of YHWH because the Glory of YHWH filled the

House of YHWH.

“All the sons of Israel, seeing the fire come down

and the Glory of YHWH upon the house, bowed down on the pavement with faces to the ground,

and they worshipped and gave praise of YHWH, saying, ‘Truly He is good, truly His loving-

kindness is everlasting’.”

(2 Chronicles 7:1-3)

THE GLORY DEPARTS

- before the destruction of Jerusalem. 586 BC

“Then the cherubim lifted up their wings with the wheel beside them, and the Glory of the God of Israel hovered over them. The Glory of YHWH went up from the midst of

the city and stood over the mountain which is east of the city.” (Ezekiel 11:22-23)

THE GLORY RETURNS

- at the Second Coming of the Messiah

“I saw the Glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters; and the earth was radiant with His glory.” (Ezekiel 43:2)

Page 14: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

MOSES SEES THE GLORY

“Then Moses said, 'Please, show me Your Glory.' And God said,

'I will cause all My Goodness to pass in front of you, and will proclaim the Name of YHWH before you ... 'But,’ He said, 'You cannot see My Face, for no man shall see Me and live.’ …

“Then YHWH said, ‘See, there is a place near Me, and you shall

stand there on the rock; and then, while My Glory is passing by, I

will put you in a cleft of the rock and cover you with My Hand until I have passed by. ‘Then I will take My Hand away and you shall

see My back, but My Face shall not be seen’.” (Exodus 33:18-23)

“Then YHWH descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the Name of YHWH. Then YHWH passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "YHWH! YHWH! the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-

kindness and truth; who keeps loving-kindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.” (Exodus

34:5-7)

THE REFLECTED GLORY

“And it came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two

tablets of the testimony were in Moses' hand as he was coming down from the

mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him (YHWH).

“And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, and the skin of his face was shining, and they were afraid to come near him.” (Exodus 34:29-30)

“When Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face. But whenever Moses went in before YHWH to speak with Him, he would remove the veil

until he came out.

“And whenever he came out he spoke to the children of Israel whatever he had been

commanded, and the children of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone, then Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with YHWH.” (Exodus 34:33-35)

SH’KHINAH MANIFESTATIONS

IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

THE SH’KHINAH WAS MANIFEST TO THE SHEPHERDS.

“In the countryside nearby, there were some shepherds living out in the fields, keeping

watch over their flock at night. And an Angel of the LORD suddenly appeared to them,

and the Glory of YHWH the LORD shone around them; and they were terrified.” (Luke

2:8-9)

AT PENTECOST IN WIND AND TONGUES OF FIRE.

“And suddenly a sound like a violent, rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them what looked like

tongues of fire that divided and came to rest on each of them.” (Acts 2:2-3)

IN THE PERSON OF Y’SHUA THE MESSIAH.

Page 15: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

15

“The Word became flesh (incarnate, human), and dwelt among us, and we saw His

Glory, the Glory of the "only begotten" ("the One and Only Son") who came from the

Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

Y’SHUA IS THE SH’KHINAH IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD

The Sh’khinah Glory did not dwell in Herod’s temple. But at that time it dwelt in God’s Temple – in the Person of the Messiah. Y’shua referred to Himself as “this Temple.”

“Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.” (John 2:19)

THE TRANSFIGURATION ON THE MOUNT

“And after six days Y'shua took with Him Peter, James and John his brother, and

brought them up to a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before

them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light.” (Matthew 17:1-2)

On that occasion, the Messiah’s body became transparent, and His Glory became visible.

PAUL’S TEACHING,

CONTRASTING THE GLORY OF THE TWO COVENANTS

“But if the ministry of death - the Old Covenant -engraved in letters on stone, was

inaugurated with such glory that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of

Moses because of its brilliance, fading as it was, how shall the ministry of the Holy Spirit

- the New Covenant - fail to be even more glorious? …

“For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the

ministry of righteousness! Indeed, what was glorious, has no glory now in comparison

with the surpassing glory. For if that which was to pass away came with glory, how

much greater is the glory of that which remains and is permanent!” (2 Corinthians 3:7-

11)

THE GLORY ON MOSES’ FACE WAS A POWERFUL

REFLECTION OF THE SH’KHINAH.

(But it was Temporary)

THE GLORY IN Y’SHUA THE MESSIAH WAS

THE INTRINSIC REALITY OF HIS DIVINE NATURE.

(And it was Permanent)

“Now YHWH is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of YHWH is, there is liberty. But all of

us (who are in union with Messiah), with unveiled faces behold as in a mirror, the Glory

of YHWH, and are (constantly) being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing

glory; this (transformation) comes from YHWH, who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

“If our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing - the unbelieving, whose

minds the god of this age has blinded so that they might not see the light of the gospel of

the Glory of Messiah, who is the image – the likeness and manifestation - of God.”

(2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

THE VEILS THAT COVERED

The veil on Moses’ face prevented the people from seeing the blinding reflection of the Glory of God.

Page 16: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

16

The veil on Y’shua Messiah was His flesh - it prevented people from being blinded by the Glory within Him.

Likewise the physical body of a believer covers the Glory of Christ dwelling in his spirit.

OTHER VEILS THAT PREVENT THE

REFLECTON OF THE GLORY

There are veils of doubt and unbelief that Satan puts on the minds

of unbelievers to prevent them seeing the truth – the light of the

Gospel of the Glory of Christ.

There are veils of complacency and carnality on the minds & lives

of believers that prevents them from perceiving the Glory of Christ in their lives and in others.

There are veils of self-life that believers often wear that prevents the Glory of Christ from being reflected in their redeemed, Spirit-filled personalities.

THE TREASURE WITHIN

“For we do not preach ourselves but Messiah, Y'shua the Master, and ourselves as your

servants for Y'shua's sake. For it is God who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ who

has shone in our hearts for the enlightening of the knowledge of the Glory of God, in the

Face - the Person - of Y'shua the Messiah. And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7)

THE TREASURE IN THE SPIRIT OF EVERY

BELIEVER IS THE SH’KHINAH - CHRIST IN YOU –

THE HOPE - THE PROMISE OF ETERNAL GLORY.

“Examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith; test yourselves! Or do you not

recognize this about yourselves, that Y'shua the Messiah is IN you – unless you fail the

test?” (2 Corinthians 13:5)

THE COMING GLORIFICATION

“For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also eagerly wait for a Saviour, the

Master, Y'shua the Anointed, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything

into subjection to Himself, will transform our lowly body so that it is conformed to His

glorious body.” (Philippians 3:20-21)

THE GLORY AT THE RETURN OF THE MESSIAH

“For the Son of Man is going to come in the Glory of His Father with His angels.”

(Matthew 16:27)

“They will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with

power and great Glory.” (Matthew 24:30)

Page 17: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

17

BUT EVEN NOW …

“… all of us (who are in union with Messiah), with unveiled faces behold as in a mirror, the

glory of YHWH, and are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory — from glory to glory.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Ultimately, for the believer, there’s …

ETERNAL GLORIFICATION

“For whom He foreknew, He also ordained beforehand to be conformed to the likeness

of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren. Whom He foreordained, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and

whom He justified, these He also glorified.” (Romans 8:29-30)

THE HEAVENLY CITY

“The city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine upon it, for the Sh'khinah Glory

of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.” (Revelation 21:23)

THE SH’KHINAH IN THE TEMPLE IN HEAVEN

“And the Sanctuary was filled with smoke from the Glory of God and from His power.”

(Revelation 15:8)

“Blessed be YHWH, the God of Israel, who alone is doing wonders. Blessed be His

glorious Name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His Glory. Amen and Amen.” (Psalm 72:18-19)

AMEN! YES! AMEN!

“The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of YHWH, as the waters cover

the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14)

SO NOW …

“Whatever you do, do ALL to the Glory of God.”

(1 Corinthians 10:31)

HALLELUYAH!

3. ENTERING THE HOLY OF HOLIES

“We are standing on Holy Ground, and there are angels all around.”

Brother and sisters, we are now approaching Holy Ground. There’s a spiritual dimension that might seem unattainable in our spiritual experience - on earth. There are truths here

that are often neglected; truths that are relegated by most Christians to “spiritual fantasyland.”

A 17th century monk, Brother Lawrence, was greatly preoccupied with cultivating a

keen sensitivity to the Presence of God in everyday life. His teachings were compiled

into a book called “Practicing the Presence of God.”

20th century writer, Andrew Murray, has given us many titles including, “The Practice of God’s Presence,” “The Holiest of All,” and “Let us Draw Near,” which give Scriptural

grounds for the possibility of what we are talking about — entering, in spirit, into the

Holy of Holies..

But while many true saints have pursued the goal of experiencing the Holy of Holies,

most moderns would relegate this type of experience to our future “after life.”

Let us examine the Scriptures on this subject.

HEBREWS 9:11-14

“When Christ, the Messiah appeared as High Priest of the better things to come, and that

are now here, He entered into the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with

human hands, that is to say, not of this material creation.

“He entered once and for all into the Holy of Holies in Heaven. And He entered, not by

virtue of the blood of goats and calves, but by virtue of His own blood, having secured eternal redemption for us.

“For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a burnt heifer sprinkled on those who

have been defiled, is sufficient to sanctify for the purification of the flesh so that they become

Page 19: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

19

ceremonially clean, how much more will the blood of the Messiah, the Anointed – who by

virtue of His eternal Spirit (His eternal divine Personality) offered Himself as an

unblemished sacrifice to God - cleanse your conscience from dead works, so that we may serve - worship and minister to the living God!” (Hebrews 9:11-14)

THE TABERNACLE

is “a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of the heavenly sanctuary. That is why when

Moses was about to build the tabernacle, he was warned: ‘SEE TO IT THAT YOU

MAKE EVERYTHING ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN YOU WERE SHOWN

ON THE MOUNTAIN’." (Hebrews 8:5)

THE INVITATION

In the ancient Tabernacle and Temple, the High Priest alone, could enter the Holy of

Holies, and that, just once a year – on the day of Yom Kippur (Atonement).

In the New Covenant, a gracious exhortation, and invitation, to come into the Holy of Holies, is extended to all believers whose hearts have been cleansed.

“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith … having our hearts sprinkled with His blood and cleansed from a guilty conscience, even as our bodies have

been washed with pure water. Let us hold fast without wavering to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:22-23)

The cleansing of our hearts – (1 John 1:7-9):

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Y'shua the Messiah, His Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we claim

that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess

our sins, He is faithful and righteous and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from

all unrighteousness.”

Cleansing is not a “once in a lifetime” experience. It is a daily requirement, a moment

by moment “habit.” Whenever we are conscious of any sin, even in thought, we should confess it, and when we do so, the blood instantly cleanses us, and keeps us in fellowship

with the Master. We can then enter the Holy of Holies.

Page 20: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

The Tabernacle along with its “furniture” is a type or picture of the Heavenly Sanctuary.

In the outer court there was the BRAZEN ALTAR and the COPPER LAVER

ANIMAL SACRIFICES TOOK PLACE

ON THE COPPER

ALTAR.

THE LAVER,

WAS FILLED WITH WATER, AND THE

PRIESTS WERE COMMANDED

TO WASH THEIR FEET

AND HANDS BEFORE ENTERING

THE HOLY PLACE.

THE HOLY PLACE

Three articles were in the first part of the Tabernacle – the Holy Place - where priests ministered daily to the LORD.

THE MENORAH LAMPSTAND

THE TABLE OF SHOWBREAD

THE ALTAR OF INCENSE

The Menorah Lampstand made of gold, with seven branches that had an oil lamp on each one was to be kept burning continually.

The Menorah represents the Body of the Messiah, and the seven-fold work of the Holy Spirit. He is our Light and our Strength, Wisdom and Joy.

The Showbread – the Bread of the Presence - made of acacia

wood and overlaid with gold, represents the Humanity and Divinity of the Messiah. The

Bread of the Presence on the table may have been made from manna.

It represents Messiah the Bread of Life who came down from Heaven. (John 6:32). The

believer needs to feed daily upon that Living Bread, and especially when he comes into the Holy Place.

Page 21: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

21

“He has brought me to his banquet hall, and his banner over me was love.” (Song of

Solomon 2:4)

And He feeds us with Bread? Yes, the Living Bread, the Fruit of the Holy Spirit, and

the Meat of the Word. A great banquet indeed! And it is available for us, daily.

The Altar of Incense was also made of wood, overlaid with gold. Incense speaks of intercession and worship going up continually.

The altar speaks of Messiah’s Humanity and Divinity, but also of His resurrection. He is the One who ever lives to intercede for us. (Hebrews 7:25)

So now let us proceed from the Holy Place to ...

THE HOLY OF HOLIES.

First we must “pass through the VEIL.” (Remember the temple veil was torn in two at

the time of Messiah’s crucifixion?). That VEIL represents Y’shua’s torn Body.

“Brethren, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of

Y'shua - by a new and living way which He consecrated and opened for us – a way

through the curtain, that is, through His flesh - His torn body, and since we have such a

great high priest ministering over the household of God, let us draw near with a sincere

heart..” (Hebrews 10:19-22)

We now come to the Ark of the Covenant, which is the only piece of “furniture” – the only item - in the Most Holy Place.

The ARK of the Covenant was an oblong box made of acacia wood, overlaid with gold. Inside the Ark there were three

items ...

1. The two stone tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments. They represent the

INSTRUCTIONS of God. In the New Covenant we are not under the Mosaic Law, but

we are not lawless. There are some 1050 commands and exhortations - instructions in

the New Testament for us to store in our minds and hearts.

2. Aaron’s rod that budded. The significance of the ROD? It speaks of rebellion and resurrection.

One day, when the leaders of Israel were complaining against Moses and Aaron, God commanded Moses to take each leader’s rod or staff. After writing his name on each, the

rods were laid up in the sanctuary all night. On the following morning, Moses fetched the rods and began handing them back to the princes. There was no visible difference in

them until they came to Aaron's rod. It had brought forth blossoms. There was life from God in Aaron’s rod — vindication of his authority.

The other rods were only dry sticks without life; and such were we, as sinners. We were once rebels against God, but through receiving Y’shua as our Saviour, we received

eternal life. Our dead stick now brings forth fruit for God. Y’shua is the one who produces that miracle of LIFE.

3. A Golden Pot containing Manna. The manna speaks of The Son’s humiliation – the Bread that came down from Heaven, to give His life for the redemption of sinners.

The gold pot speaks of His resurrection and exaltation. (Ephesians 2:5-11)

Page 22: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

22

THE MERCY SEAT

was a slab of solid gold that formed the top of the Ark. On both ends of the Mercy Seat

there was a golden “cherub of glory” (Hebrews 9:5). Their wings spread over the Ark.

The cherubim are seen as guardians of the holiness of God overseeing the atonement when the blood of the sacrifice was sprinkled on the Mercy Seat. That happened once a

year on Yom Kippur.

The Mercy Seat speaks of God’s Throne. The space above the

Mercy Seat and beneath the wings of the cherubim was the

dwelling place of the Sh’khinah Glory - when It was present in

the Tabernacle.

“Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel; You who lead Joseph like a

flock; You who are enthroned between the cherubim, shine

forth!” (Psalm 80:1)

“I will meet with you there, and from above the Mercy Seat, from between the two cherubim.” (Exodus 25:21-22)

THE MERCY SEAT REPRESENTS MESSIAH

“Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption which is in the Messiah,

Y'shua, whom God set forth as a Mercy Seat (propitiation)* to make atonement and

reconciliation by His blood through faith. He did this to demonstrate His righteousness,

because in His forbearance, God had passed over the sins previously committed; to demonstrate, I say, His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and

the Justifier of the one who has faith in Y'shua.” (Romans 3:24-26)

(* hilasterion Gk = propitiation or Mercy Seat)

BELIEVER! YOU ARE A TEMPLE OF GOD!

“Do you not know that you are a Dwelling Place (a temple) of God, and that the Spirit

of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Your BODY, SOUL & SPIRIT are all part of our temple. But our SPIRIT is our

innermost “Holy of Holies.”

OUR TEMPLE IS INTENDED TO BE

AN EXTENSION OF THE HEAVENLY TEMPLE

THE TABERNACLE’S THREE PARTS REPRESENTS

THE BELIEVER’S TRIPARTITE PERSONALITY

A. THE OUTER COURT - THE BODY

B. THE HOLY PLACE - THE SOUL

C. THE HOLY OF HOLIES - THE SPIRIT

Page 23: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

23

A. THE OUTER COURT = THE BODY

Here there is more physical thinking and activity; physical expressions. People in the

outer court come a little closer to God. They believe in the sacrifice of Christ, and own Y’shua as their Saviour, but they don’t go deeper into the spiritual life and fellowship

with God.

B. THE HOLY PLACE = THE SOUL

The soul consists of the will, intellect and emotions. Although the person prays, takes the bread & cup, speaks “spiritually,” and joyfully sings hymns, there is usually a self-

centredness, and a lack of desire to come into a closer communion, and to worship.

C. THE HOLY OF HOLIES = THE SPIRIT

The spirit is the innermost part of us that is God-conscious and that is sensitive to the realm of the Spirit. At the moment of our new birth, the Holy Spirit establishes a “holy

of holies” in our spirit, where He and the Sh’khinah may dwell.

“Do you not know that you are a Dwelling Place (temple) of God, and that the Spirit of

God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)

LET US SEEK TO MAINTAIN OUR BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT

AS THE TEMPLE OF GOD

Let our lives become increasingly, a reflection of the Holy of Holies in Heaven, filled with worship expression through Scripture, singing, and prayer, praise and adoration, and love, grace and encouragement to all the souls around us.

From New Birth onwards, the believer is counted as …

A RIGHTEOUS, SANCTIFIED, AND HOLY TEMPLE

Page 24: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

24

This positional reality needs to be, and can be, translated into our reality experience. We are called to …

* Live a righteousness life

* Live a set-apart, holy life

* Live, remembering you are a Temple of God

in relation to God, the church, and the world –

in WORSHIP, MINISTRY & WITNESS.

THE HOLY OF HOLIES IS THE PLACE OF GLORY

“And the Glory of YHWH filled the Tabernacle.” (Exodus 40:34)

YAHWEH said: “I will meet with you there, and from above the Mercy Seat, from

between the two cherubim.” (Exodus 25:21-22)

THE HOLY OF HOLIES IS A PLACE OF TRANSFORMATION

“But all of us (who are in union with Messiah), with unveiled faces behold as in a mirror,

the glory of YHWH, and are (constantly) being transformed into His likeness with

ever-increasing glory. This (transformation) comes from YHWH, the Spirit.”

(2 Corinthians 3:18)

THE HOLY OF HOLIES IS A PLACE OF REST

“Since the promise concerning entering His rest still stands, let us be afraid of the

possibility that any one of you should seem to fall short of it.” (Hebrews 4:1)

There is a place of quiet rest, near to the heart of God,

A place where sin can not molest, near to the heart of God.

THE HOLY OF HOLIES IS A HIDING PLACE

“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You;

which You have prepared for those who trust in You, in the sight of the sons of men!

You hide them in the secrecy of Your Presence from the conspiracies of men.” (Psalm 31:19-20)

WHERE THERE’S ETERNAL SECURITY

Hebrews 6:17-20

“God, desiring to show to the heirs of the promise, the unchanging nature of His purpose clearly and beyond doubt, confirmed it by an oath. He did this so that by two

unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie – His promise and His oath, we who have fled to Him for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the

hope set before us.

“And we have this hope as an anchor for the soul, a hope both firm and secure, and one

which enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Y'shua, our forerunner, has

entered on our behalf, having become High Priest forever after the order of

Melkizedek.”

Page 25: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

25

“For Christ, the Anointed, did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands – a mere

copy of the true one. He entered heaven itself, now to appear in the Presence of God for

us.” (Hebrews 9:24)

“For through Him we both, Jews and Gentiles, have our access in one Spirit to the

Father.” (Ephesians 2:18)

“Through whom we have boldness and confident access to God through faith in Him.”

(Ephesians 3:12)

WE MAY WORSHIP IN THE OUTER COURT,

OR, IN THE HOLY PLACE,

OR, IN THE HOLY OF HOLIES

- or in all three.

But let’s not be content to worship merely in the outer court (like sitting in a pew in church, or just praying for your needs.) Don’t be content with simply worshiping in

song, listening to CDs, and praying for your friends and family.

Seek to come into the inner intimate Presence of God.

COME INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES

We do not need an “out of the body” experience, like “being caught up into the third heaven.” One day we will experience that. But right now we can draw into our “inner

room” – the innermost part of our spiritual temple where the Sh’khinah is dwelling, and

there worship and commune with the Eternal One.

The Holy Spirit will lead you step by step, and into the Holy of Holies, if you are

willing.

I have found the pattern of the Tabernacle a great help in my personal experience of

drawing near.

If you are not in the habit of coming into the Lord’s Presence regularly, I suggest you start by setting a time, preferably in the morning before the day gets busy. Don’t think you have to make it a “long session.” This is not “compulsory prayers.”

Start with a short time, choosing a quite place without distractions, and ask Y’shua to

take control of your concentration, and to lead you into His Presence.

Come first to the Altar of Sacrifice (the cross) in the outer court. Thank the Father for

the Saviour and His sacrifice; for having paid the penalty of your sins, and for the forgiveness you have received.

Then in response to His sacrifice for you, yield your life to Him. “Lord, You gave Your life for me, so now I want to give my life for You. Today I want to die to my sinful

inclinations and self-centredness, and I want to be a living sacrifice for You. Live out Your life in me Master.” (Romans 12:1-2)

(Of course, if you have never come to the cross and received Y’shua as your Saviour,

then you cannot go beyond the Altar of Sacrifice. You must first receive His forgiveness

and life. And you can do that right now by bowing down and confessing your faith in Y’shua and His sacrifice.)

Then come to the Laver, where we wash our hands and feet of the contaminations —

the dust we have gathered in our daily life. We wash by confessing our sins. (1 John

Page 26: Scriptures to help lead us into a deeper understanding of ... · YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GLORY “And after you have suffered for a little, the God of all grace, who called you to His

26

1:7-9). And we should examine our lives (Galatians 6:4. 1 Cor 11:28), and have any hindrances to our fellowship with the Master washed away. You know how it is when

you spill some coffee on your clean garment - you immediately wash that spot. My little Tibetan dog always kept himself very clean. So should we.

With clean hands, feet, heart and mind, we can now proceed into the fist section of the

Tabernacle - the Holy Place. Here we see the Menorah which reminds us of the 7-fold

ministry of the Holy Spirit, and of our place in the universal Body of Christ. As individuals we are part of that chosen Body. Give thanks for the privilege we have, and

for the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, who also intercedes for us according to the will of

God. (Romans 8:27). What an encouragement! Should we not yield to His leading, and be filled with Him every day? (Ephesians 5:18)

Now I come over to the Table of Showbread - the Bread of His Presence. I want to feed on the Bread of Life. I read a short encouraging passage of Scripture to be nourished in

His Word. And I memorize any verse which particularly strengthens me. Sometimes I will quote some of the Bible verses I know very well. (I find this is not the time for longer

Bible study - I study at length at other times. At present I am preparing to enter the Holy of Holies.)

Now let’s pause before the Golden Altar of Incense where we are reminded of the

resurrection of our Saviour, and of the fact that He always lives to make intercession for

those who draw near to God through Him. (Hebrew 8:25). We can also add our prayers of incense to the altar. (Revelation 5:8)

Now, “Since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Y'shua -

by a new and living way which He consecrated and opened for us - a way through the

curtain, that is, through His flesh - His torn body, and since we have such a great high priest

ministering over the household of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full

assurance of faith.” (Hebrews 10:19-22

I enter the Holy of Holies

I enter through the Blood of the Lamb

I enter to worship You only

I enter to honour ‘I AM.’

Lord I worship You, I worship You

For Your Name is holy, holy, LORD.

Meditate on your Saviour, when you enter the Throne Room, and begin to worship deep within your heart. Let your spirit “soar up” as it were, into the Heavenly scene that the

writer of the Book of Hebrews describes:

“You have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God;

to myriads of angels, to the Universal Assembly, - the corporate body of ‘The Firstborn’

who are enrolled in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of

righteous men made perfect; and you have come to Y'shua the Mediator of a New

Covenant and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of redemption ...” (Hebrews 12:22-24)

In the Old Covenant, only priests could enter the Holy Place, and only the high priest

could enter the Holy of Holies. In the New Covenant, all born again believers are

priests, may enter, not only the outer court, but also, both Holy Places.

“You have made the heavens, the heavens of heavens with all their starry host, the earth and

all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them and the heavenly

host bows down before You.” (Nehemiah 9:5-6)

JOHN’S EXPERIENCE

“Immediately I was in the spirit; and I saw a throne that was set in heaven; and One was

sitting on the throne. And He who was sitting there was like a jasper stone, and a sardius

in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in

appearance.” (Revelation 4:2-3)

“Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living

creatures and the elders; and the number of them was thousands of thousands - myriads

and myriads - millions. And they were saying with a loud voice: 'Worthy is the Lamb

who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom, and might and honour and

glory and blessing.

“And I heard every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and

on the sea, and everything in them, saying: 'To the One seated on the throne, and to

the Lamb, be blessing and honour, and glory and power, for ever and ever.' And the

four living creatures said, 'Amen.' And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshipped

Him who lives for ever and ever.” (Revelation 5:11-14)

CEASELESS WORSHIP AROUND THE THRONE

Kadosh, kadosh, kadosh, Adonai Elohim Tz’vaot.

“Holy, Holy, Holy, O Lord our God, LORD of Hosts,

who was and who is and who is to come.”

(Revelation 4:8. Isaiah 6:3)

MINISTRY IN THE HOLY OF HOLIES

* WORSHIP

* INTERCESSION

* LISTENING / LEARNING

* TAKING IN GOD’S ‘VITAMIN G’ (Glory)

It protects! – Satan hates the glory!

“All the kings of the earth fear Your glory.”

(Psalm 102:15)

“Since we have a great High Priest who has passed through to the highest heaven, Y'shua

the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

“For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to understand and sympathize with our

weaknesses, but we have One who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was

without sin.

“Let us then approach the Throne of Grace with full confidence, so that we may receive

mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:14-16)

YES, THE THRONE OF GRACE !

After worshiping, you are encouraged to intercede for souls, situations, needs. And do listen to hear the Master repeat His commands and exhortations to you.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I

commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Bring all your requests and petitions to the Throne - it is the THRONE OF GRACE.

Tarry there as long as you will. And in all emergencies, “wash your hands” (confess any sins), and come straight to the Throne of Grace.

WHY WE COULD BE RELUCTANT TO COME

INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES

1. We are content with a lesser experience!

2. We’re not in close fellowship with the Lord!

3. We’re not much into worship!

4. We don’t feel good enough!

5. A guilty conscience!

6. Holding onto something unholy!

7. We don’t have enough time!

8. We’re simply careless or lazy!

None of these are adequate excuses. They all point to SELF-CENTREDNESS. If there

is reluctance to seek God for any reason, it is time we had a soul search.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts, and see if

there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” (Psalm 139:23-24)

It’s surely time to get right with our Master, and to seek rectification in our lives.

“Y'shua said to him, 'You shall love YHWH your God with all your heart, and with all

your soul, and with all your mind’.” (Matthew 22:37)

LORD TAKE UP YOUR THRONE

Lord take up Your holy Throne, deep within my heart

Take the place that is Yours alone, deep within my heart.
