Product Owner
• key stakeholder• Devices vision and shares with team• Responsible for the product backlog• Has complete understanding of what is required from the
product in terms of - Sales, Competition, Customer, Management, Users etc
• Is a decision maker• A proxy sustomer• May be a customer• Stakeholder/customer management• In certain projects - is also responsible for budgeting and funds
Responsible for -
• Backlog and its grooming
Scrum Master
• Makes sure the team is motivated• The team is delivering what is committed to• Enforces process adherence• Acts as a coach• Mostly a Process owner for the team• Also involved in stakeholder communication• Does whatever is required to keep the team performing at its peak potential• Facilitates all meetings and removes impediments• Is the primary point of contact for stakeholders or members outside the
team• Is a Servant Leader• Helps the team in its use of scrum, much like your gym trainer who helps
you achieve physical health
Responsible for -
• All Scrum ceremonies and artifacts
Development Team
• Consists of generalists• Is self sustained• Helps in decision making• always strive for excellence• The development team is a Manager• Cross Functional• Autonomous• The team is responsible for Estimation, Design, Development, Test,
Documentation, Execution and Delivery• Team always devises methods that make it achieve more and more sprint
on sprint• Team is accountable to itself, tracks its own process(with the help of the
SM) and delivers on its committment
